Alien: Isolation is perhaps the most graphically consistent game across platforms of this console generation. Compare Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions of the game and see if you notice a difference.
All three look near identical, I hope it plays as goodo as it looks there is so much potential to make a good alien game, last one was the arcade game where Ripley climbs into the robot to fight off the bitch
doesn't look great. But it doesn't have to if it has fun gameplay.
Kinda reminds me of dead space at how small the differences were in each platforms graphics. They look pretty much identical to each other.
My words exactly. Seems like you're getting the same look whichever platform you go for. Though PC just barely edges out consoles in this one.
It indeed looks great on all platforms. But not to forget that on PC you can get 60+ fps :-) Makes a hell of a difference. But an awesome game ofc on all platforms :-)
It won't be long now... the crazies are coming.
That's not a very nice thing to say about yourself.
Oh I know I'm crazy but the ones I'm referring to are on a whole different level (and again not in a good way.) Props for the attempt though, made me smile. ;P
They pretty much aimed for parity. Looks great on the consoles, was expecting an Ultra mode for PC. I'll probably pick this up whenever a Steam deal pops up.
I'm not seeing the huge difference between X1 and PS4, but I do have old eyes. Am I wrong? Do I need my eyes fixed?
There is little to no difference but then again it doesn't appear to be a graphically intense game which might be good if they went after gameplay over graphics.
PC version has a very slighty more polished look and the consoles are identical. The graphics don't seem to be to high end to begin with. Hope the the games plays well. That's what matters most !
Antialising is the only noticeable difference for me. And maybe little hardware based color difference. Really solid optimization. :) I can't agree that the graphics is pour. There is some heavy and cool dynamic lighting ideal for such kind of a game. When I saw first screenshots I was like "please, let it be the real in-engine" fingers crossed :)
I was able to pick up my copy early, thx to my local mom and pop game shop! About an hour or so into it on PS4 and I am pretty impressed so far with the whole feel of it! It definately feels like the first Alien movie. I think they might have finally nailed it for once. I have not seen the alien yet, but man the tension and build up of stealthing around with creepy atmosphere and soundtrack is awesome! It's what made the first Alien movie so classic. People looking for COD style gameplay need to look elsewhere! This game is all about tension! I'm digging it so far!
I'll wait for Digital Foundry but in the here and now, they all look pretty close in that video.
A frame rate comparison would be nice.
Why so people can start a war?
What's the point of comparing looks without comparing performance? I want to know which version is better before I part with my money. Not my fault if you fanboy's can't be mature about comparisons.
so where are these pc graphics now? this is the max settings version and it looks hardly any different, you want graphics get a ps4 and play games with no equal like uc4 or order1886 still no pc game as good looking as them, developers arent gonna make games for high end pcs so there power isnt really being pushed and never will be, but I see you damage controlling on every pc thing, do you have anything better to do with your life then be on here kid?
Hahaha so Butthurt. I have a PS4 and X1 too so stop being a blind fanboy and embarassing yourself . I still want to know which has a better frame rate. Too late though anyway. I picked this up on PC and its an average looking game regardless of platform.
All versions look more the less the same.
