Sure, rocking out at home is great, but wouldn't you want to take it out on the road and get your fix wherever and whenever you want? Obviously, Activision thought so, so they enlisted Vicarious Visions (developers of the Wii versions of Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero Aerosmith) to take the series on the road with Guitar Hero On Tour.

That said, a handful of companies and designers occasionally do something different. Results have been mixed, but by and large, these games stand out for offering a unique experience you can't find anyplace else.
