On his Newsweek blog, N'gai Croal explores the format war between HD-DVD and Blu-ray movies in relation to gamers. While the Xbox 360 can play HD-DVD with its add-on drive, Croal says that's a non-starter because those sorts of console add-ons rarely sell to more than 10 percent of the base. Because of more studio -- and electronic company -- support for Blu-ray, and the PS3 pushing that format into homes, Croal names Blu-ray as the winner.

“I thoroughly enjoy retro-style games and with that, Magic Orbz modernises the classic brick breaking formula and it has held up beautifully.” - A.J. Maciejewski from Video Chums.
BLG writes, "Some of the most popular games have had a rough start, with some of them being downright unplayable.
Despite that, developers have managed to turn it around for them and make their game worth playing. Here are some games that had a rough start but were pretty great."
Sea of Thieves... I'm not disagreeing that the game has improved in terms of content. But I feel that the most significant change between now and its release is actually the public perception. Nowadays, most people are aware that the game is a multiplayer PvP-focused experience first and foremost, and not "Black Flag made by Rare". Consequently, people dismissing the whole experience because the single-player aspect is lacking or the story is plain are much less common.
Days gone! By the end of the game I couldn't drop it down! I went around so many hours killing zombies! It was addictive by the end.
Great, so we will be able to download HD movies and such. However this does not allow for backup. there still has to be a media format available that is quick and easy for backup purposes. because if there is a glitch that causes corruption in your hard drive (hard drives malfunction all the time) people are not going to want to have to re-download all of their content. well, atleast people like myself you do regular backups of my PC already. i would love to be able to do the same for my PS3 and 360.
go blue ray, go !
This is the purpose of USB external drives.
Speculation *yawn*
This article seems more like speculation then fact. Yes in most cases add-ons generally don’t sell well. In the case of the Xbox 360 it’s sold more add-ons and accessories then any console in history, with most of its users buying at least 3 add-ons in average or more. Reports are showing PS3 has less then the amount sold in Japan even buying games. Also with reports of HDMI problems…How can we declare any type of winner or an edge for Blu-Ray?
