Thank God! This is one thing that drives me absolutely nuts. I hope this becomes industry standard!

Alexious4043d ago

Well, to be honest it seems like only PS4 is missing it at the moment...

Clown_Syndr0me4043d ago

It already is an industry standard as far as Im aware, it was very odd that PS4 did it differently.

I suppose I should clarify; I hope the newest generation catches this trend. I know when I used to boot my 360 and pop a game I haven't played for awhile it would take a minute or two to update.. Then it was good to go.
When I got both of the new gen systems they both seemed to have the issue of not updating titles properly. XB1 seems to have fixed the problem somewhere in their (many) updates and it seems that PS4 is heading that direction.. Finally.

I still can't play the game. I get to the select screen, but when I try to enter the game, it just crashes and gives me an error. I'd like to play it, but I don't want to initialize my PS4.

Alexious4043d ago

That sounds bad...Have you tried to contact SOE support?

I'm glad that it fixed the saves issue.

I never realized this considering all of my patches downloaded automatically while I was sleeping or during moments I didn't even notice.

MMOs In 2021 Retrospective: Console Edition

WTMG's Thomas Medina: "As far as I’m concerned, console MMOs have always been in a weird place. PC is where the main game is most popular. MMOs were born there, work best there, and have the vast majority of titles. Mobile is then next in line, with touchscreens and portability that adds something new while functioning well. Console gaming, on the other hand, is not portable (for the most part). Plus, it uses a controller, which is not the best instrument when your control scheme requires a thousand buttons and a cursor. That being said, there is an audience, and where there’s money to be made, publishers find a way. So here we are with some of the biggest console MMO games and how I feel they handled 2021. "

Best Superhero Video Games Available Right Now

From Xfire: "A lot of video games are designed to make players feel like a superhero. However, very few actually feature superheroes or have players take on the role of a superhero. What makes this even worse is that there are even fewer superhero video games that can be considered good."
