Wow......over 2.5 times more PS4's sold than X1's this week alone worldwide.

3 months after the launch of brand new consoles and the X1 is in closer competition with the PS vita for this week than it is with the PS4.

Vita outsold the X1 in Europe......how is this happening?

Yeah, i expect Titanfall to move some X1's, definitely. But enough to make up for these consistently "bad" (compared to the PS4) numbers? I'm not so sure.

yeah, and while these are small weekly numbers, 64k vs 48k means the PS3 sold 33 percent better then the X1 last week, via their numbers.

Wow, 2 million lead over XB1 and sold 2.6 times more than the XB1 this week.... and that is considering that it is almost impossible to find a PS4 and the XB1 is available everywhere in great numbers.

Going back a month and a half or so on the global sales, the PS4 seems to be consistently selling about 2.5 times more than the XB1 each week. The end year gap between the PS4 and XB1 is going to be massive if this average continues. Were talking total XB1 sales being at 5.5 million, and PS4 sales being at 10.3 million.

Here's how I came up with that number.

Seems the XB1 average sales might be around 50k a week. Multiply that times the weeks left until the end of the year (10 months = 40 weeks). That nets the XB1 2 million more sales by the end of the year. Add that to 3.5 million, and you get 5.5 million.

Since it seems like the PS4 will average about 2.5 times the sales of the XB1 per week, you multiply the 2 million sales the XB1 generated over 10 months by 2.5, then add that total to the PS4 total now. You end up with 10.3 million.

Obviously not the most accurate, but it could very well be close to those numbers. And that's not assuming that Sony whips out their ace and cranks up production on the PS4 by 5 fold. Because as it stands now, PS4 is selling out as soon as it hits the shelves and the production is the biggest bottleneck in the sales figures.

It may go up as well. There was a good TV spot on tonight's Gadget Show(show on in the UK)for the Vita as it was put against other hand held gaming devices and came out the victor. Also touched upon it's remote play feature etc. Thought it was a decent plug for it to be honest regardless if it had won or not.

It keeps getting said, but it really doesn't matter how many countries each is released in. The PS4 is selling better in all the markets where the two compete, and in the markets where the XB1 hasn't released yet, there isn't anywhere near enough demand to make a difference.

Surprised nobody has mentioned the mediocre sales for Final Fantasy's latest installment. Going from 7+ million for Final Fantasy 13, to 3.5 million for Final Fantasy 13-2, finally to 1.5 million for Lightning Returns.

For a series that normally does millions opening week to becoming a niche is really sad. Being a fan of the series since inception this is really disheartening to see such a respected franchise has become a shell of its former self.
