Hardcore Gamer: A bold statement to be sure, but one Ubisoft is certainly doing a good job backing up.

It looks like a next gen game.

That's the highest praise I can give it.

Yeah really TomShoe....

Claimed to Be the Most Detailed Video Game Ever

Give me a break. Looks damn good but it's not out yet. Don't base judgement off of a few videos. Let's see some more of this and other games in their real form before we hop on the hype train.

Tell me that AFTER I see MGSV since Kojima is known for detail amongst other things.

ifritAlkhemyst3793d ago

Kojima and detail? Puhlease...

Prime1573793d ago

To be fair, kojima tweeted that he was jealous of gta5 as an open world game.

I'm skeptical of this type of PR though.

mikeslemonade3793d ago (Edited 3793d ago )

Yea lol @ people claiming it's best looking yet. Can people be somewhat more objective. Maybe you were just hyped about a trailer that you just saw 30 seconds ago.

Most detailed.. maybe? Trailer didn't show something that proved that. The only thing that looked amazing was the car texture, there was also the feeling of weight in certain objects, and the hit detection was impressive too. People are just jumping the gun getting overhyped about something.

Guys is VGX worth watching anymore after the annoucements?? I got other stuff to watch.

medman3793d ago

Zombie Killer you must have missed Kojima's reaction to seeing The Division when it was unveiled at E3. Hideo himself said he was blown away by it and that he was a little depressed because MGSV was not matching that graphical fidelity. Stop your nonsense.

hmm.. from what I have seen so far.. I must agree.. Those graphics looks sick.. mindblowing...

Snookies123793d ago

Agreed. The attention to detail is simply incredible.

mikeslemonade3793d ago (Edited 3793d ago )

Sorry.. edit

Thought you said best game you have seen so far.

ProjectVulcan3793d ago (Edited 3793d ago )

The visuals in the latest engine demo looked slightly poorer than the ones I seen elsewhere. It might just be the stream compression but the higher quality videos I saw of it a few months ago it had immensely clean image quality. It barely looked like a game, now it does because you could see the imperfections every game has.

I wonder if the same thing happened to it as happened to watchdogs here. High end PC devkits demonstrating the game at E3 reveal (like watchdogs in 2012), actual console footage tonight.

Massive downgrade? No, but noticeable, at least to my eyes.

Muffins12233793d ago (Edited 3793d ago )

No...just no...this game was original built for only console and the engine.....it was just 4 or so months ago announced for pc,was never planned for pc. The core of the engine was built to run on console and the game was built to be on console originally.Sure the pc may look a little better but what your seeing is gonna be identical or very close to console footage.

ProjectVulcan3793d ago (Edited 3793d ago )

The game was clearly built on a PC devkit with PC hardware like every game.

Just because it was originally developed for the consoles does not mean it can't be downgraded.

You only have to see the original Unreal Engine 4 tech demo, which was originally intended for the consoles FIRST, running on a PC devkit last year.

Then compare it to the same tech demo running on actual console hardware a year later, with pretty huge downgrades. http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...

Developers when they started were not actually sure of the console final specs until later on in the development cycle, which is pretty usual.

They usually build them on a PC environment with a target spec in mind.

So it comes as little surprise to me that the original E3 footage looked better than this, because that was probably PC footage on a devkit platform, and that this was actual console footage on PS4/Xbox one.

I suspect more and more than developers were slightly surprised with the performance of the next gen consoles, being a fair bit less than they expected it to be a while back.

majiebeast3793d ago

Till they downgrade it like Watchdogs. Dont believe Ubi's lies.

lets_go_gunners3793d ago

Ubisoft is the publisher..not the developer.

KiRBY30003793d ago (Edited 3793d ago )

really? didnt know that. thanks for sharing. ;)

KiRBY30003793d ago

seems like Massive is owned by ubisoft.
says so even under their logo

TheLiztress3793d ago

It looks good and I really do hope it does live up to that claim. But time will tell, I think.

ricochetmg3793d ago

This is the reason I am going next gen.

I am in absolute agreement with the OP 👌

shinoff2183384d ago

I hate when I see single player games and see people begging for multi-player. Jeez guys it don't need to be on every game. Latest one I seen was atomic heart.

-Foxtrot384d ago

Multiplayer or even co-op

If it was always a single player game then that's how it is

Inverno384d ago

It's a trend that never really went away. For me multiplayer in a primarily SP focused game was an excuse for DLC. Then there's the mentality gamers had that adding multiplayer makes a game worth the price, otherwise it should be half price for half a game. A way of thinking devs reassured when they started adding multiplayer to their sequels. We see the same with multiplayer focused games getting SP in their sequels.

Flawlessmic384d ago

Tbh multilayer now is a way to add live service and mtx elements, very rarely does it come of well.

What single players game used to be in a lot of cases now require 3 other people for keeping to really enjoy it and I hate having to rely on others to get the maximum from a game.

Sp should be sp, if devs want to add a separate multi mode then that's fine with me, the legends addition to ghost of tshushima was fricking sick but totally separate to the main game. Sick of co op too.

Hofstaderman384d ago

I remember when certain single player games had them as included optional modes that was played on the couch. Had brilliant times with Syphon Filter and Golden Eye. Me and my bro used to used to fight over who would play as Gabe even though it was technically just a skin. Good times.

Dagexon384d ago

I didn't notice your comment before I added mine.
But good times indeed
