Zen Studios seems to be branching away from their core Pinball offerings, first with CastleStorm earlier this year and now KickBeat, a new rhythm based Kung Fu game now available for the PS3 and Vita as a $10 cross-buy on their digital store. KickBeat is an oddity at best; a button-tapping game that those who play Dance Dance Revolution without a dance mat will know exactly how it works.
SteamFirst: When it comes to music games, I can be overly forgiving. I am the first to admit that I spent more time than would be considered healthy playing the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises, long after their relevance has subsided. Of course, considering that they are both making a comeback this year, I may have been a hipster douche in claiming that I liked something after it was cool and before it was cool again.
