Trains, a boat ride, jewel thieves. Following on from its first instalment, The Raven – Legacy of a Masterthief puts players back in the shoes of Constable Anton Jakob Zellner as he continues his investigation on the famous thief and the mysterious disappearance of The Eye of the Sphinx, a precious ancient ruby.
The second chapter, Ancestry of Lies, jumps immediately back into the action from the offset, with the opening scene being a direct continuation from Chapter One’s surprising cliff-hanger ending.
Tristan of RGN writes, "Final Verdict: The Raven Episode 2 is sadly not as good as what we had last time around. Without Zellner it just feels not as good. The story in this one is really slow up until a little more than half way though. The Raven Legacy of a Master Thief Episode 2 gets a 7.6 out of 10, setting up the finale for a hopeful start."
SP:The highlights of this chapter barely seem to overcome the downsides, making it sort of disappointing (if you've played the first chapter), so I eagerly await the last episode to change / improve my overall opinion on the whole game.
"After a brief excursion with The Critter Chronicles, The Raven – Legacy of a Master Thief is King Art Games’ next big project; released across three chapters in a post-The Walking Dead world." Writes Tom Towers.
