Ubisoft is Setting the Bar for Next Gen Gaming

TG writes: With the arrival of the PS4 on November 15th, next gen gaming will officially hit the market. Between now and then, we will be taking a look at several different third party and first party developers who are working hard to make next gen gaming the best possible. Ubisoft is the first third party developer we are going to look at and we will be checking out four of their upcoming next gen releases. (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, PC, PS4, The Crew, Tom Clancy’s The Division, Watch Dogs, Xbox 360)

The companion app feature seems pretty cool.

Can't wait for second-screen stuff. Sometimes I just want to be mildly entertained by my triple-A gaming.

That's not alot to ask for I don't think.

The cool thing about this is that whenever a bar is set for a generation, this early, it is of course raised up within the first year. And then again, and again, and again before the console goes out. That makes this awesome news :)

Ubisoft is setting the bar? Those are current generation games, not next generation.

*Sigh*

They have downgraded current gen versions, but if you've seen the next gen versions you wouldn't be saying that.

Regardless, compromises have been made to the game. Once the games are being made for the next platforms exclusively, then you can say that.

When you consider that next gen is 100% PC architecture, the compromises are for last gen while next gen gets the real deal across the board. PC gamers have been saying for years that consoles can't handle full on PC gaming, but that's not the case with next gen systems.
