We’ve all been there. Whether it’s a chat room, message board forum, website comment, or online multiplayer game, spend any amount of time connected on the internet and you are bound to come across people who are just itchin’ to stir up all sorts of trouble. Some people can be complete jerks online, and while it’s easy enough to stay out of their crosshairs for the most part, the last place you want to deal with these kinds of people are in your favorite mmo while you are trying to relax and game.

I like the game a lot. I would like the outside world to be a little more detailed open and varied but overall it’s a really good game and I understand they are limited by their budget and team size. For a lower priced game it’s worth more than they charge

There is a partial workaround that adds the Fallout 4 launcher back ;to the Steam Deck version of the game. Players need to add “SteamDeck=0 %command%” to Fallout 4’s launch options in the game’s settings on Steam Deck. But it’s wild and not great that players have to do this just to change visual settings while playing on Valve’s portable PC.
Ignoring them is the best thing you can do. Trolls feed on a response and they get infuratited if you don't provide a retort.
Sometimes however, they will say something or do something that will strike a nerve. The best thing to do is to ignore it but if its sufficiently serious then reporting them is the best thing to do.
I hope the record features of the next-gen consoles can record voices too because that could go a long way in thwarting trolls in their endeavours.
But yes, we're only human and there have been many times that I've wished for the veil of anonymity to be lifted to so I could truly 'speak my mind' to the 'plastic warrior' on the other end.
In situations like that you only have two options:
Option 1: Cave the dude's head in with a mighty punch of destruction.
Option 2: Ignore them
Since Option 1 is impossible in an online game i say just ignore them.
