Square Enix Are Working on a New AAA Hitman, Mobile Game

In an email sent out today detailing various changes to western Square Enix personnel, the publisher has confirmed that IO Interactive are working on a "new AAA Hitman game." No other details were given (aside from the fact that the game is in pre-production), although it's probably fair to presume you won't be waiting as long as you were for Hitman Absolution, and that the new game will be making an appearance on next-gen consoles.

They should be working on FF15 and KH3.

You do know that they have multiple studios and teams that work on different project, right? KH3 and 15 are being made by different teams and I'm pretty sure the team doing this will also be different.

This probably won't have any effect on KH3's and 15's production.

Square Enix are publishers, IO are the devs

IO Interactive are Danish and have nothing to do with the Japanese side of Square Enix who are developing Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. IO could go bust tomorrow and Square Japan would carry on.

mobile and AAA games aren't compatibles.

If they don't spend $25 million or more creating this game, I shall be disappointed!

SE's addiction to flooding the market with iOS games is sickening.

NihonjinChick1998d ago (Edited 1998d ago )

Those games are also overpriced. I saw a SE game on GooglePlay that was like 45 bucks total. Who is willing to pay 20 - 40 bucks for a mobile game?

Smoovekid1998d ago

No one is willing to pay that much.

Sweet. Can't wait for 47 on PS4.

Absolution was cool. Great series. Next Gen Hitman should be even better.
