Dead Island: Riptide Review | Splitkick

Splitkick: I want to believe that the franchise will realize its potential someday, but certainly not today. Weighed down by a bad story, uneventful gameplay tweaks, and a slew of technical problems, Dead Island: Riptide is a disappointing next step for the franchise. Fans of the first game should hold out for a better sequel, while anyone else with interest in the series should try the first game instead. (Dead Island Riptide, PC, PS3, Xbox 360) 6/10
