Medal Wars: Keisers Revenge is a new isometric action shooter from one man development team Retro Army, based in Scotland.
Set in World War One it assumes the gameplay style of an action RPG not to dissimilar to that of Diablo. Of course in World War One they weren’t able to shoot lighting out their fingertips and instead you have an assortment of guns and explosives to help you complete your missions.
Pixel Judge: "This game is absolutely bloody mental. Medal Wars: Keiser's Revenge is a comedy RPG adventure game...just let that sink in for a moment. Designed, programmed and produced entirely by one man (apart from the music) over a period of close to six years, a period of sheer hell, mostly due to a self-confessed reluctance to allow anyone else to take any creative control. Could this be a study in one man's dream realised in all its glory?"
"Medal Wars: Keisers Revenge is a real mixed bag for me. Sure this 2D isometric shooter reminds me of the games I played in the middle school (when no teachers were watching), but not for the right reasons. Medal Wars attempts to be “funny,” and ends up seeming juvenile. It’s silly whacky setting? World War 1." - William Fretschl of Geekenstein.com
GameZebo: Medal Wars: Keisers Revenge is rather crude. Take your average British “Carry On” film, skew it just that little bit too far in the wrong direction, and that's roughly where the humor in this world war shooter sits. Regular mentions of women's "jugs" and pixelated flesh may well put you off from the get-go.
