How big are title updates on Wii U?

Wii U has already faced scrutiny over the pitiful amount of usable storage space found in an 8GB console. But how much storage space is still available after you factor in title updates for each piece of software? (Wii U)

"Unlike Xbox 360, which stores its title updates in the system cache, Wii U stores its title updates directly on the hard drive"

I guess according to this guy 360 cache is on Mars ?

"whopping 564 MB of storage" lol

Everything on my 8gb WiiU is stored on a 32gb flash drive.

Nintendo themselves have said that the use of flash drives to save data on WIi U isn't advisable, because they have a limited amount of writes available.

Just telling you in case you didn't know. You would be better off storing your data in a external hard drive.

Save data not games themselves. I have no downloaded games yet and when I do they will go on an external HDD.

As if the xbox 360 didn't sell consoles with 0 space on them for most of it's life.

Remember folks, if you didn't buy the premium one, you were SOL.

Then when you wanted to buy one you need to pay $129 or more for what 40gb. 60gb? Once my original 20gb one died...the price sure didn't mean quality, I simply bought a used one.

For the Wii U. Bought a 2tb external hd for $79.99 no tax and free shipping from Newegg. Won't find that from MS.

There's really no need for this article. It's been stated numerous times that the Wii U supports external hard drives (up to 2TB) and that it would be the main way to store whatever, which is a much better option than the other consoles. And it's even been stated that the 8 G version is for the core crowd and this is part of the reason why. They are the group of people that will take advantage of this first, so no need for much more space than what's necessary for operation.
