Just Cause developer 'going next-gen'

Avalanche Studios looks set to leave the current generation behind by moving onto development for the next-gen consoles. (Just Cause 3, Next-Gen, PS3, Xbox 360)

Just Cause 3 on a next gen game console, oh man that is going to be sweet pot of destruction!!!
Gamesgbkiller  +   763d ago
Yes indeed
Just how the world will be on next gen
I hope we see online or co-op

Sounds great... What concerns me is the cost of new gen
ApolloTheBoss  +   763d ago
Don't expect it to be cheap.

Square Enix said it would be cheaper than current gen. Epic says otherwise, but i'm of the opinion that they want to generate more profit, instead of telling the thruth. It is quite obvious that Next-Gen will be less labour intensive & cheaper. They can use their high-polygon models in the game straight away without scale down/smoke & mirrors tactics(less labour/less people needed). Square Enix said that standard CGI-movie industry 3D-Modeling/Animation software like MAYA will have a 1:1 exchange (no scale down) with the Next-Gen Engines. They say it will be quicker & cheaper than current gen. SO expect Next-Gen to be cheaper.

Well then i will just wait for next gen because this gen doesn´t impress me at all.

Cant wait for a new generation to start with the 720 and PS4 unless of course Nintendo does something amazing with the Wii U instead of enhanced current gen ports.

P.S Zombi U doesn´t count because the game looks terrible in my opinion. Dead Space 3 looks much better than it.

BTW do you mind if i call you Akiba?

Disagree all you want, have fun with your last gen consoles.
@Deku-Johnny
I'm going to laugh at you next E3 when the next gen PlayStation and Xbox is announced.

Good! I'm so done with current gen!!
Deku-Johnny  +   763d ago
Well the current gen is now officially the 8th gen. So it should say "Avalanche Studios looks set to leave the last generation behind by moving onto development for the current gen consoles".

Wii U is more like generation 8.3.

I'm looking froward to real next gen consoles, not gimmicky kids toys.

Just cause 3 should be awesome on real ninth gen hardware from Microsoft and Sony.

if ps4 and nextbox even come close to the pc version of just cause 2 i will be pleasantly suprised, i know they will look nothing like metro 2033 or the witcher in 1600p with 8x aa

but they should be able to look close to an old game like just cause 2 maxed in 1080p with 2x aa on pc, maybe....maybe not....the wii u sure as hell can't come close to that

More pixels does not automatically mean it's going to be a better looking game.

Pacman could be in 100,000,000P and still look like Pacman.

Just look at 'God of War: Ascension' that's coming to PS3 and looks a lot better than most PC games even in their highest resolution.
