Siliconera: This week’s U.S. Club Nintendo reward is Pro-Putt Domo, a DSiWare miniature golf game starring Domo-kun.
The ratio of quality to filler on DSiWare may still be superior to that of iTunes, but the Domo games hurt the credibility Nintendo was gaining as a curator of an online games store that emphasized quality and value.
CheatCC says, "Nintendo, being as Japanese as it gets, had no problem in giving the green light for a group of small Domo-themed games to appear on DSiWare. Now we can all take Domo with us and make our wait at the dentist office a more pleasurable experience. Or will we end up greeting the doctor with a sour face and sweaty hands? I guess that all depends on which game(s) you get, and that's why I wanted to give you a heads up and let you know which of these Domo games are the most enjoyable."
NL writes: "When the Domo titles were first announced for the DSiWare service, many people were left unsure of what to think of them, especially given their rather inexpensive 200 Nintendo Point price tag. Now just as quickly as they were announced Nintendo has released all five titles onto the service at once. And while this Pro-Putt Domo title isn't very deep or overly content-filled, what you're getting is actually a fairly solid little putt-putt game considering it will only set you back a mere 200 Nintendo Points."
