AppModo: The name of this app to me clearly indicates a battle-driven, engaging game-style app, far different from recent apps that I have reviewed recently. Initial impression: The first screen has great artwork. The ‘devil’ is well illustrated and the faded background offers a great illusion of depth. Also, the music was much more involved and ‘darker’ than some of the canned background music that you usually hear. It’s intense, gritty and reinforces the visuals displayed.
Now, you likely think you know how all tower defense games work. And with Kill Devils, you might just be right! The game has you defending your castle against an horde of angry attackers using a single magical cannon atop your gate. You can also make use of four different magical attacks, three elemental and one super-powerful dragon-based. You’ll need to leverage all of these elements and your available resources to beat each wave.
