How PlayStation Vita Can Dominate the Indie Game Market

From the PlanetPlaystation.com feature editorial:

"Independent game development has managed to rise incredibly over the years, gaining popularity across major home platforms all the while retaining its indie credibility. What makes these titles so outstanding is their reliance on old school design, high challenge, inventive gameplay, or in some cases, all of the above. Indie games are unique and oftentimes inviting, presenting players with an appealing experience that sucks them in and keeps them returning to it. Just look at Super Meat Boy, one of the most popular indie games in recent memory, and easily one of the most challenging." (PS Vita, Retro City Rampage, Smart As, Snapshot, Sound Shapes)

Indie games are some of the best titles out there, and the Vita is perfect for it...

The Vita had a great showing of indie games at E3 2012, quality games too...

I love indie games and can't wait to see more on the vita. If your looking for an amazing free indie game to play, download I want to be the guy. It's kind of an easy and relaxing game, but so much fun. :)

Let's not underestimate another Indie market that will release later this year. Every game will be free too!

LBPVita. I don't think people realize yet how professional LBP has become with this iteration. games can look better and play better. This is essentially an App creator as well as a fully fledged games creator

here's an example of a game that has no resemblance at all to LBP (and this is before the community get their hands on LBPVita)

When PlayStation Mobile (previously PS Suite) releases, I think we will see an even greater influx of indie devs gracing the Vita as well.

There are already great games out and coming out for the Vita from the indie community. And I say, "Keep it coming!"

Good luck dominating a market already controlled by Apple and Google.

Meh, VITA's not gonna dominate anything except maybe headlines on how it can be saved!
Wait until it releases in the West they said. Well here it is 5 months into it and it's borderline flopping.

You and ApolloAdams still got your Sony Hate juices flowing in your blood streams I see.

Small psn games like hustle kings, fat princess, shatter, crash commando, etc don't feel right on a console. These are thr type of games that should move to Vita. Like Super Stardust and Wipeout wisely did.

I'm loving Super Stardust Delta and Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!!!

Can't wait for Sound Shapes, Guacamelee, Alien Spidey and Retro City Rampage.

This is all fine and dandy if the Vita gets lots of indie games ... as long as it doesnt interfere with the AAA titles coming onboard.

While i like SOME indie games, i didnt buy a vita to ONLY play indie games.

Im probably one of the few who bought it with the hopes of having a "console game on the go" experience.

BUT if Sony can do both effectively, then im all for it. The more games the better!
