Read Adroit Gamer's Diablo III review on the Xbox 360.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.
Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?
Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
i'm playing the PS3 version but i'd assume it's practically the same on 360, and i'd agree with the review.
the controls work really well on a pad, they're not confusing, like some ports of PC games can be.
they obviously spent a lot of time fine tuning them for consoles.
i don't have a favourite class or build yet, though i think it'll either be the wizard or the barbarian.
the wizard for her ranged attacks, along with crowd control, or the barbarian for just piling in and beating the crap out of the enemies. ^_^
i've not tried the multiplayer yet though, but the balance in single player is just right, some game with co-op modes aren't balanced well for single player, Borderlands being an example of that.
but Diablo seems to have got it pretty much right.
anyway, it's a fantastic game, i'm hoping we'll get the expansion the PC version just got, sooner or later.
even though i'm still a long way from finishing the main game yet.
^_^
Game works ok with gamepad, doesn't run very well on ps3. Ps4 version will probably be pretty awesome.
In the 360 is also awsome.
I need to pick this up for my 360, but need to finish all my winter games first.
The game rocks on 360...my only gripe is dlc. Why tbey arent doing DLC for 360 and PS3 is beyond me but im not buying this game again for next gen consoles just to play dlc.
