This morning South Africans woke up to the news we’ve all been dreading for most of 2013: Nelson Mandela had passed away. He was a political figure that overpowered apartheid and collectively avoided an all out civil war in South Africa. Instead, this leader brought all of his people together to love one another. He’s also the reason the gaming industry is as strong as it is in South Africa today.
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has officially confirmed this morning that the successor to the Nintendo Switch will be announced within this fiscal year which runs until March 2025.
I'm excited for a switch 2 however I don't feel it will be coming this year as per the tweet in they are commuting to a reveal in this Japanese financial year in 2025.
Realistically we will get one last holiday season to focus on the switch because it would be madness for Nintendo to go into the holidays where the switch always performs well when they have announced a switch 2.
I'm thinking we see a announcement late Jan 25 personally with a release between March and June depending on when the software is ready and how strong the holday sales were if they need to boost those figures for the next earnings call or not

Microtransactions have gotten ridiculously overpriced in recent years, with titles now offering cosmetic skins worth more than some games.
There never was, the only time I paid for a microtransaction was on Blacklight Retribution (PS4) and it was because I enjoyed the game a lot so I felt the devs should get something for all that entertainment (€5 "membership")
I couldn’t believe what Blizzard charged for horse armor and cosmetics in Diablo 4…
I remember back in the day when a season pass was $15 and you got everything included in it. Now, I see them at $60 and you still don’t get everything.
As soon as gaming wasn't deemed nerdy anymore, and reached the casuals this happened. We're smart, but casuals play mobile games and other stuff, and don't really have anything to compare. They think gaming is supposed to be like this and pay for in game purchases.
R.I.P.
A little bit of a stretch but acceptable.
such a stretch in this article.
but what would you expect from the PC police of the MSM.
this guy preached the genocide of white people, openly and boldly but I guess Anderson Cooper & John Stewart didnt tell you that?
RIP Nelson Mandela
Is this a South African Site? Because this guy does not have a clue what he is talking about. No doubt Mandela did more for this country than most would know but some of the things this idiot is saying is so far from the truth its laughable. Anyway RIP Madiba.
