By avoiderdragon: Nowadays, when people think of indie games, platformers first come to mind. Due to how platformers had been the most played and developed genre during the 90′s, it had influenced indie developers a great degree. That influence is so strong that it even drove what then became one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns in Mighty No. 9, the spiritual successor of Mega Man. The genre is not fading out anytime soon, even though it had a bit of a lull when 3D titles started dominating. Even when it may not be as popular as before, it is still quite lively, and Electronic Super Joy comes in at a good enough time.
Electronic Super Joy is simply too little too late to make it a worthwhile purchase on Nintendo Switch - especially when you consider its higher price tag than even its Wii U counterpart. It does include a few extra level packs, but It's ultimately bettered by games which came almost a decade before it, so it's a hard recommendation unless you have the patience of a saint and absolutely adore the genre.
I love this game plus finished it, including both Dlc's.. 9/10 from me..a proper hardcore platformer
Neil writes "We're big fans of the games that LOOT Interactive drop, and so the arrival of a new four game mega bundle on Xbox One gets us a little bit excited."
GodisaGeek: "You haven't heard of this game, have you? Well, we hadn't either, but it's supposedly like Super Meat Boy so Adam thinks he's good at it."
