All through this year's gaming events (E3, Gamescon, PAX, TGS, etc), Sony has consistently relayed a single, solid message. The message was "we love indies". The fact that fees were waived and giving the ability to self publish went a long way to showing just how strongly Sony was committed to the independent development world. And the biggest reason Indies have been so positive is because this was Sony's message right from the start, without the need to change policies or backtrack.

Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.
Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.
That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.
Ar Tonelico 3 is good I still prefer the first AT game. The music is solid in all the games and Akiko Shikata is a very talented singer bringing life to the game. Only annoying part is well I find is Saki I always choose Finnel or Tyria. KOEI so needs to HD remaster the franchise along with Ar Nosurge and Ciel Nosurge since it never came to North America. I would day one the Ar Toneliceo games and Ar Nosurge if they were remastered.

Its like Sony can't wait to launch the PS4 which these announcements.
Or doing damage control over the loss of Driveclub and Watch Dogs as launch titles.
It's funny because until Sony started pushing Indies on the Vita and PS3, I had absolutely no interest in them at all ... Hell, they weren't even on my radar. I was under the impression they were ... well ... rubbish.
Then I signed up for PS+ and everything changed. I'd looked at Journey a few times and kind of glanced interestingly at Limbo, but I always dismissed them and opted to spend my money on a more substantial AAA game.
However, once I'd put my bank details into PSN to buy PS+ the temptation to test drive one of these Indie games eventually lead me to Limbo. I remember playing it and thinking 'Rubbish? Not at ALL!' Once I'd finished that little gen I moved onto Journey and brother was I proven wrong again in a BIG way.
Unfinished Swan was next and again I was flawed by how narrow minded I'd been about the Indie scene. There was something different here; something that I wasn't getting from bigger, badder, bolder titles.
I now look forward to Indie titles as much as I do AAA titles and can't wait to try my hand at Resogun and Contrast. My outlooks on games has been broadened and thanks to Sony's persistence I've rekindled a love for games I thought I'd never feel again.
Keep up the good work sony. Show em how its done
