Metro - "It’s been a roller-coaster ride for the 3DS so far. When it was initially unveiled to the press in 2010 the response was euphoric, probably the most uniformly positive we’ve seen for any new hardware. But that was back when 3D gaming seemed like it would be the next big thing – making it seem as if Nintendo was well ahead of the curve in creating a console with glasses-free stereoscopic 3D as its primary selling point."

Black Ops still holding off Red Dead, interesting. Crazy to think that Mario Party almost sold as much as Red Dead did.
Nintendo hardware up.. Playstation hardware down..
Software numbers definitely seem low this week overall.
Red Dead didn't do that great in Japan and the Switch went up in sales. Probably from people getting excited over Pokemon Let's Go. Dragon Ball Fighterz is still hanging in there. Good for it.

13/20 are Switch titles, 16/20 are on Nintendo hardware. Japan really loves the Switch right now.
While I love the 3D effect on my 3DS, I guess this makes sense. Not everyone wants to have the 3D element because they may find it cheesy or ineffective. Not to mention there are some people out there who are Stereoscopic blind, and cannot see 3D at all. So this handheld would appeal to them more. Not to mention it is cheaper too. Some kids in the 5-7 year old range would benefit as well since doctors recommend that no children under 7 should watch any sort of 3D movies or play 3D games.
"3DS without the 3D"
Since I can't see the 3D this is a better value for me
id consider buying one if i could play games I already bought digitally on another 3ds.
