PS4 & Xbox One at Gamescom 2013: which came off best?

What I want to know is which one will continue support after the launch. Looking at this gen, and the gens that came before, I think it's obvious.

And, I think one is holding on to a good deal of announcements, when another is about spent up until they can work out some more deals with 3rd party companies.

If you're a hardcore loyal Sony fan Sony won, MSFT won with everyone else.MSFT had the games people actually care about and are excited for. Bigger news for XB1 with partnerships and other service/feature related news.

XB1 displayed a true next gen experience from its Exclusive AAA games with unmatched visuals to XB1's system software and peripherals. MSFT answered a lot of questions people had with some of their games and policies and passed with flying colors.

Regardless if you can never admit MSFT wins these things, MSFT wins in what they actually say and do at these events setting them up in the future for success long after the event's hype dies.

Unmatched visuals, you heard it here folks. Apparently having worse specs compared to the competition results in unmatched visuals. Honestly, you never seen any AAA games like Kilzone: Shadowfall or Infamous: Second Son...now those are unmatched visuals on a console.

lol There was no on-stage conference at Gamescom. Microsoft have no idea what they are doing. There was no hype for Microsoft due to that.

See, the thing with Microsoft is that they didn't win, because they started off with an Always-Online, Always-Kinect operated system and even when it was rumored to be always-online and such, they did not listen, not in May and not in June. It was after E3 they decided to listen to the outcries. That's why, to me at least, Sony won.

What are the xbots going to say when naughty dog, quantic stream, Santa Monica, media molecule, guerilla games, and eat sleep play all announce exclusives this year and next year. I'm sure those 6 months of titanfall exclusivity should make up for all those games...

Well to answer your question foxhound, they'll be playing exclusives like Halo, Fable, Gears, Quatum break, Titanfall, crackdown, and other unannounced exclusives that microsoft has promised in the future. They'll be fine so no need to worry about them. You so sure titanfall will be a 6 month exclusive, show us proof of that. Microsoft has shown they have no problems paying ea alot of money for things that boast there console, look at Fifa being free for the X1 at launch for Europe, I'm sure they paid a whole lot of money for that. It's fanboys like you that are just blind to the fact that if the X1 don't succeed then we as gamers lose. These 2 companies keep each other in check because they bring the best out of each other. I"m glad microsoft and the X1 is here cause if not then we would be paying another $600 for the PS4 and I'm glad sony is putting the fire under microsoft's ass to put development into first party exclusives or else we would be playing nothing but third party titles. So take off your blinders and see the competition is best for us gamers and being a fanboy it just silly and short sighted.
