Fallout 4 No Violence Please, We’re Gamers

S&R: I have heard the arguments against magic and Extraterrestrials which is probably a reaction against jarring improbabilities, things so unrealistic they seriously detract from the flow of the game.

Bethesda Should Make Family Friendly, Less Violent Fallout 4

I know I posted this, I do NOT agree with it though, I loved the insane amounts of violence in Fallout 3, just because I could blow someones head off doesn't mean I chose to (I did)

It sounds like Society And Religion want the bandits and raiders to come to your house to mow your lawn, or make you a cup of tea

Heisenburger3936d ago

Yeah. MY religion has to right to complain about pretend violence. I love my country, and I love the good things that I got from being raised in the church.

But I draw the line at sweeping slavery under the rug, or pretending that the crusades never happened is too much.

The only problem I have with violence in video games is children being allowed to play them.

But then again that isn't a problem with the violence per se. I simply do not personally agree with the way they choose to raise their child.

But yeah. I wanna see some eyeballs getting blown out of their sockets.

My issue with the article is the entire reasoning behind it. "Make it less violent so I can play it in my living room."

Then it goes on to claim its "good Business" to appeal to a wider audience. A claim that, in gaming, has shown that its quite the opposite of "good business".

Ultimately its just selfish. I would respond to it by saying:

1. Don't play in front of children.

2. Don't play it at all.

This is why I have a man-cave, so my son doesn't see the violent games I play.

That's one of the reasons I love Fallout, because of the amount of violence and gore.

I got to say is I like Fallout 3's Bloody Mess Perk!

They aren't going to give more. We are talking about a company that has rereleased an 13 year old game at least 5 times.

Super happy to see this was eventually resolved for PlayStation Plus Essential owners as well!

Bethesda addressed this the other day. There was no fear... just impatience.

P_Bomb5d ago

Expecting something to work at launch is impatience?

TheJacksofAll4d ago

No that’s called entitlement

admiralvic5d ago

They said they were looking into it, followed by only giving news about Extra, and then editing out the “free for all” message. You don’t think all of this wouldn’t give some reasonable doubt?

More than a few people bought a copy of this game during this time. So, it worked out as planned.
