Playstation 4 vs Xbox One on Self Publishing

Barry writes, "Self publishing. We’ve seen what it has done for store fronts like the iOS app store and Steam. There’s been recent announcements that the PS4 is going to allow self publishing. What is there not to like about being able to self publish a game for a console? No contest if you ask me.

If the devt goes broke the title will no longer be able to be maintained and looked after.

With requiring a publisher, they have the backing to continue to sell and maintain the title.

That is really the only difference.

Is it important? For someone who is like me and buys a lot of titles that I don't get to play right away this is a must. For someone who buys and plays all there stuff immediately they probably wouldn't care.

that's you only defence for not allowing self publishing?
weak man, weak.

look at fez, published by ms, the devs refused to patch their clearly broken game.

and look at what happened with THQ.

but then you'll say anything to defend ms, i've seen the comments you've been making recently.

seriously, if the x1 needed a pound of flesh to play you'd defend that.
"it's a good way of losing weight" or something like that. ^_^

Just because you can self publish on Playstation doesn't mean it'll be flooded with crap. There's still an approval process to go through.
