inFamous Second Son Set In "Different World"

According to a tweet from the official twitter account of Sony, inFamous Second Son is not completely related to the previous inFamous games

I really loved what I saw at E3 I was very impressed I'm not even that into Infamous I loved the first one but the second one didn't really grab me like the first one did this will be day 1 for me !

BattleAxe3978d ago

I know what you mean. I'm currently replaying Infamous 1 so that I can beat it as evil Cole. Its still a ton of fun even after all this time!

@xtremexx
I don't think it's a different world unrelated to the previous game, rather it's a "different world" because of the influence of the previous games and Cole's Actions.

Lucreto3979d ago (Edited 3979d ago )

What do he mean by different world?

I see it in 2 different ways

1. Like the headline says it is a different world or alternate universe.

2. The world is different after the beast destroying the east coast and all these security measures have changed the way of life compared to Infamous 1 and 2.

Mr_Nuts3979d ago (Edited 3979d ago )

Well since Kesler came from another timeline (another world) I'm going to have to say it's your first point.

HOLY CRAP...this means Cole is still alive, this could be a world where he's gone for good. I knew that they were saving inFAMOUS 3 for Cole.

The thing is they can do so many games set in other worlds for spin off's and they can do anything to the story.

I'm guessing this one is when Cole "died" after defeating the beast but they could do a game taking off from the Evil ending or do inFAMOUS 3 where Cole wakes up after the lightning strike and because he's alive this government lockdown thats happening in this world might never happen whatever events play out in the third game

smashman983978d ago

Dont get your hopes up ur making crazy assumptions and setting Urself up for disappointment

Raccoon3978d ago

I can almost guarantee that cole will make a camio in this game somehow he will have to learn about his past and how it all started and while looking for answers cole will appear... Not far fetched at all...

smashman983977d ago

Just don't get upset at sucker punch if it doesn't happen. Im not saying it wont happen I myself believe anything is possible. If it does happen i'll be happy to see cole back if not then no big deal after all he is supposed to be dead

KillrateOmega3979d ago (Edited 3979d ago )

...Alternate universe?

Or different as in 'the world has experienced a VERY drastic change since the events inFAMOUS 2'?

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM112d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck112d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati111d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos112d ago (Edited 112d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88143d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183142d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie142d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
