Xbox One Revealed, Debut Reveal Video

Today, Microsoft announced their brand-new home console known as the "Xbox One". Here's the debut video.

That was a really disappointing conferene. The only thing that interessted me in the whole conference was wuantum break. Too much TV talk not enough games revealed. They get a second chance at E3 though.

I was definitely sold more on this reveal then Sony's. Which to me all they had was a share button which is kind of ok, but pointless for how I game. Nt to mention a profile type page that they wanted to remind everyone that it's like Facebook.

I like the features they showed more for this plus the reveal of the Box looked great. Nothing crazy or overblown, just sleek and sexy.

this reveal was catered towards your average consumer who watches sports and cable, and plays COD. Smart reveal for Microsoft to target that demographic (Spike TV anyone)

I can do without the 'Ultimate Team' feature on sports games. I can do without a trailer for a game that made me laugh out loud. And you know what, I'll still be able to play COD:Ghosts, EA Fifa, madden, UFC on the PS4...

I just won't have exclusive DLC that I won't be able to play, oh woe is me!!!

Not to be a fanboy about this but damn that was one major let down, not one of those terrible rumours was addressed. 2nd hand games? Always online? I got excited at the start when they showed the console itself but it looks heavier than my television! Not to mention half these features are probably going to be redundant outside of the US. I'm disgusted they kept the interface so similar to the old one too. I wanted a fresh experience. I'm pleased they have a number of exclusives in the works.

Just as I feared, mostly Kinect and TV (which is kind a cool) but few games and mostly preendered and COD.

So far, PS4 has my money. Entertainment stuff is pretty cool but I play more games than watch TV so ill go with the more powerful console. Besides I know how MS prices things movies, shows and music higher than Sony already.

To be completely unbiased and objective about the conference I think the fluidity of the new interface and kinect was kinda cool I cant deny being able to switch between all inputs/channels just by saying it isnt neat. BUT thats as far as my praise from what was shown goes. XBOX ONE? I couldve had a 10 year old think of a better name. The design looks like a huge brick bigger than the actual xbox one. 1 actual new IP shown but no gameplay biggest dissapointment. They did say they will have 15 exclusive games and new IPs along with them so I guess we wait for E3? They failed to talk about specific tech desings like Sony did in terms of architecture. No answers on any of the rumors that floated around. I think it was an overall dissapointment.

I can't believe I was ever a 360 fanboy. Trolling ps3 articles back in 07. Then I wisened up in 2008 when there was spotlight on Resistance 2, and knowing Killzone 2 was coming out I finally gave in to ps3. as everyone knows,i'm not a fan of microsoft and their quest to gouge gamers wallets.xbl should be free to play has been my thoughts this whole gen.and yes,i'm getting a ps4.

but you got to critique the console objectively.seriously...you know this is something sony SHOULD have done with playstation as sony makes tvs,cameras and consoles and can definitely do voice controls.microsoft is just doing it first.

like it or not,motion cameras aren't going away.get used to it.you don't have to use it.but you can't deny that it can enhance gameplay.microsoft's problem which ruined its inception was gimping kinect this gen.but i doubt there will be any problems on voice or motion next gen.and i know sony will counter showing that their camera can do it too.

Lukewarm after that presentation. I understand the simple design based off the fact this is a hybrid gaming, cable, dvr box and 3 operating systems. Yes, I can agree the skype, seemless control of gaming, television, movies, and music are great and being able to do multiple at one time are nice features to have, but I want games games and more games.

Show could have been much better - instead of doing each demonstration twice, do it once - that probably would have saved 10 minutes and instead of saying we have 15 exclusives, discuss a few of them and have some video montage and state we will show more gameplay at E3. That would have been a nice tease, because honestly right now, as a 2 console gamer, next gen I may have to drop to one and Sony has the lead for me at this point - simply because of the games, not because it is slightly more powerful, it is because they have more of a gaming emphasis.

While the reveal was a let-down on the side of games, I think the whole trash-talking of the gaming aspect of the new xbox one needs to stop. They don't show a single kinect game, yet the expectations are that most of them will be kinect games... wrong. Oh, and on the hardware issue, let's remember who had the better looking games on the current generation (Xbox 360) while it had overall worse specs than its competition (PS3). So there is hope for E3, and I'm not giving up on them yet. And all of the complaints going towards the looks of this new console; at least we know what the new xbox one looks like, unlike the ps4 being a black fuzzy box. Please just wait until E3 before you shoot holes in the consoles, because I guaruntee, opinions will change.

As it is true console gaming is declining and Xbox One is about lots of things not some old hardcore gaming like with the shitty PS3 that looks like a squashed radio. I dont care if you hate, I had a gaming PC, it kept over heating and breaking whatnot and sold it that same goes for PS3 and it kept breaking. Since I got Xbox 360 it never broke or I had any problems with it also I dont care if you think Xbox One looks like a huge brick. I like what they did with Xbox One, included more things that might be useful for us since I like to watch TV after couple of hours hardcore gaming and it is nice to slow down once in a while. With thia new system my dreams of a perfect console have come true to create this masterpiece also the Controller and Kinect look awesome and slick like they should be, another thing if you think that Xbox One looks like a big square box you may be right but any other console is a box. Ive had enough of hardcore gaming and thia happens to most of the gamers and they would want to dk something else.
