Complex - Hands down, Xbox Live is the most popular online service out and while everyone from entertainment world celebrities to athletes has one, they may not know how easy it is to lose it. Obviously, racism, sexism and threats of violence rank high on the list for getting booted but did you know that having the wrong color on an avatar can get you banned?

It said they moderated their avatar to make it blue. Xbox Live is very strict on modding.

I would like to see better moderating. I think with the ability to record and things like the share button coming for the PS4 it will provide better accuracy for proving/or disproving offenses.

A lot of gamers simply need to grow up and realize they are playing with others who may not like what they are doing. This isn't a case of freedom of speech, you must adhere to their rules and conduct.

I want to see more accountability moving forward on next gen. consoles.

Xbox Live really isn't hands down the most popular online service out, since Steam and PSN both have considerably larger userbases.

Xbox Live has 46m Subscribers as of April this year. That without the number of Silver members. I'd be surprised if they had considerably more.

Basically the Xbox gives your avatar a selection of colors, IF you change to a color that the XBOX DOES NOT offer for example lets say rainbow, you will get banned, because the only way you would get a color not on Xbox would be my modding your profile using a modding tool like horizon or something like that. That's what they mean by getting banned because of avatar color

I love the fact that the mods will ban you....but not having access to your money is bulls*** and should be illegal. One of those on the list said you lose access to your MS points. Even a**holes shouldn't forfeit their own money for whatever bs reason MS can cook up...like modding those ridiculous forced avatars...

You submit to the terms and conditions when you join Xbox Live, you are not entitled to a refund.

As far as I'm concerned if you somehow manage to get banned you don't deserve to get your money back....consitering what flys on Xbox Live you have to TRY to be an asshole to get banned.

Some of the reasons people get banned are so pathetic. Some people are like school kids running to their teacher to tell on them because they have done something naughty. If someone was to swear at me would i go running to Microsoft demanding action ? no, i would man up and have a go back at him/her, i don't need to waste my time complaining to Microsoft about some 8 year old.
