Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows Preview | GameGrin

Raphael, Donatello, Leonardo and Michelangelo are back and ready to kick some ass in their new, grown-up video game. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, is a third-person brawler, taking the famous four to a more adult audience. Stepping back from the cartoony graphics that we have perhaps become used to with TMNT, we are presented with a darker, more sinister, and realistic 3D environment, one that tastes similar to Batman: Arkham Asylum.

This game has my interests for sure.

Me too but for some reason the turtles look creepy and look too skinny and human like...I still cannot get use to the new look so unless the way the look changes I will not be picking this up.

I know it seems harsh but little thing like that bother me...it like having a Mario game without his mustache.

See attached images of old turtles and new turtles.

I believe the mixed the look with the new Nicktoons Turtles show's look. Could still be better than expected, but I will only rent or pick up for $20 bucks. Unless someone can convince me its worth $60. It is rare for that to happen.

It's meant to pay homage to the original comic version of teenage mutant ninja turtles, not the kid friendly/focused movies and cartoons. It looks great, they're supposed to look more realistic/human-like.

I'm definitely interested in this title but I'll have to see some in-depth trailers before I make my final decision on buying it.

Since it's not just Spider-man, it may not be a simple case of franchise rights moving to another publisher. Fast and the Furious and TMNT aren't owned by Marvel/ Disney.

Activision may simply be trying to push away from licensed franchise products

also the 2 worst ninja turtles games ever made, the recent nickelodeon games, atleast those had some of the charm of the tv series and old style tmnt games.

Spider man taking down because of the new one. These taken down because they are utter garbage.

lodossrage2669d ago

Spider-man isn't being taken down because of the new one coming up. It's being taken down because just like TMNT and Fast & Furious, they are no longer willing to pay the digital licenses on most of their franchise products.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows Review (PS3) | Metal Arcade

Metal Arcade: Jason Bakker writes:

As a TMNT fan since childhood, I was in the minority of those who enjoyed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows when it released last August for PC and Xbox 360. PS3 players have been waiting an extremely long time for the PSN version to release with no real updates – so long, in fact, that many believed the game was cancelled. Booting up my PlayStation 3 review copy after all this time felt a bit surreal, but when the awesome menu screen popped up, with the Turtles in their iconic poses from the first issue of the comic book, I was amped up to play through it again. There are definitely some problems here — including a practically unplayable online mode — but overall the game nails the TMNT vibe and backs it up with fun combat.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (PS3) Review - Push Square

Push Square: "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows falls frustratingly short of its full potential. As a consequence, this is a completely mediocre brawler, which fails to do anything especially interesting with its parent property. This PS3 port may be more stable than its counterparts, but that doesn’t redeem its archaic gameplay and bland visuals."
