Games come and go, and they’re usually remembered for the good (and not so good) qualities they offer. As such, sometimes games are remembered for being too good, with gamers forgetting all the negative aspects of them. This is a list of the 5 most overrated titles from this gen, and why gamers might be forgetting the flaws in the first place. In the end, these are good games, but maybe not as good as they’re made out to be.
Silent Hill 2 remake will be exclusive to the PS5 until October 8, 2025, so don't expect an Xbox port or announcement it expires.
why does it feel like we are living in the early 00's again? Sony paying for either full exclusivity or timed was the thing back in the day... and its been 'remastered' for this generation.
"Game Island, in partnership with Toplitz Productions are pleased to announce that the latest update for their single-player immersive story-driven survival adventure game "SERUM" is now available and formulates the game’s biggest content update so far." - Game Island and Toplitz Productions
CGM got a very extended hands-on look at Dragon Age: The Veilguard, and it looks like BioWare has made good use of the last ten years.
Looks fine to me. Not super Current Gen graphically, but that's fine. Well, except for that hair physics. That's actually pretty current gen. But as long as it has a good main story, plenty of choices for the player to make and it's not bloated with crappy fetch quests like the third one, this should be good to go.
Can’t wait for all the game “journalists” to start singing praises for this game only for gamers to find it sucks.
"and the story loses all credibility when they introduce the living dead into the mix"
Oh so I'm guessing the Indiana Jones films or any other good adventure films loose credibility when they introduce super natural stuff ¬¬
It really makes me think you hated most games on your list....so games people don't like are automatically over rated
... While none of the games are bad by any means, I just wasn't as impressed by them as most other gamers seem to be.
I haven't played Resistence, so I can't comment on that, but I thought Gears of War was quite boring, gameplay-wise, and the same goes for Uncharted (ducks for cover). I guess I'm just not a big fan of cover-shooters.
Portal was good, but I somehow just didn't love it.
Mass Effect kinda lost me, cause I'm bad with names, so whenever I stopped playing for a bit, I just had no clue as to what I was supposed to do, who was who, and where I was supposed to go. Mass Effect 2 is better.
I think Skyrim is the most overrated game of the generation(imo)
Most over-rated games of this generation is Halo 3 and 4, IMO !
