Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’ PS4 and Xbox 720 versions discussed

Dan Amrich has made an interesting comment in regards to the potential PS4 and Xbox 720 versions of the rumored multiplatform video game, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.” According to a report by CVG Australia on April 19, the community manager from Activision calls the two next-generation systems an “interesting problem.” He also implied that the Xbox 720 may not be released in 2013.

We all know the next Xbox is coming out later this year, all the coy third parties dancing around the subject because of confidentiality agreements.

Activision doesn't want to release a COD game on consoles with little to no install base, which is why they probably weren't in favor of new consoles, they have the most to lose with their top franchise.

I'm interested to see if they release the same MW4 game on current consoles and new ones, or if they'll make a different COD game for next gen systems.

No one knows if they next Xbox is coming out this year, that's just what we are lead to believe. Trust me, Activision wants money so they'll definitely be releasing MW4 on next generation consoles. It will most likely be MW4 on all of the systems.

Actually we know nothing at the moment. But its likely true.

I think MS will have bought some sort of exclusive content or something as well to make the XB3 seem like the console for Call of Duty when they announce it.

hopefully they delayed xbox 720 so they can put a Titan/7990 graphics card or something close ...i know wishful thinking

Even if it did which is impossible , it won't take the advantage of the gpu because they will create 3 or 4 timed exclusives and then just start releasing sequels. Why buy a console like that if pc can get these exclusives later and get better specs with less price and cheaper games. That's why i'm not buying the next xbox. They fooled me to buy 360 twice and i learned my lesson. Hope you guys have enough reasons to support microsoft more. I wish you luck :).

I'm giving it a chance by looking at how microsoft handle it for 2 to 3 years and then i will consider buying it if it's good but i really doubt it.

It would be nice if both COD and GTAV release on next gen consoles at launch, these games will move units right away.

We already know xboxlive is great, what i want to see is the new psn in action with these games at the forefront. Ofcourse there are also the exclusives which i am sure wont dissappoint.

Can't wait. Now if they can get both the last of us and beyond 2 souls out for the ps4 in the launch window, that would make my day and the ps4 a must have device for sure.

Interesting problem ? By all means allow me to help you boys out,

Take MW3 engine, add new textures, new models , skins, spruce up the lighting a bit, add some particle effects, copy all guns from MW3, copy all MP and SP maps from COD 4, MW2 and MW3 then take bits and pieces from each one and make new maps, ooooh and whatever you do DO NOT I repeat DO NOT forget the exploding white pick up truck and barrels, i think thats it........ Oooooh crap almost forgot you need to have use some or all of that skyscraper/rooftop/constructio n set piece with that crane in it and of course you need to trot out ol captain Price or his son/ brother/ grandson/ nephew/ 2nd cousin whatever ! You know what I mean. That should pretty much do it, then you can call it a brand new next gen COD. Ooh and what ever you do make sure you gimp the PS4 version so you can keep getting that M$ check every November.
