RE5 and 6 made the SAME exact mistake. Making these games to action-y. WTF developers listen to your fans! nobody asked for RE to be more like COD! Nor did we ask for DS3 to be more predictable!

Have you played the game yet?Its nothing like they say it is.Its a good review but I disagree with alot of what they said.I have been playing this game all last night and they nail the survival horror well.Yes there is alot of action but so are the other two.Im at the 3/4 part and its exactley what I wanted from DS3 great job guys.

The other two had action but they also had vulnerability, well mainly the first one.

Remember in Dead Space when you first started the game you had what actually looked like an engineer suit? For the first few chapters it was little more than a tough wire mesh with a few copper plates stitched on, you didn't get the full engineer suit until near the end, and had just enough ammo to keep you going if you were accurate.

Dead Space 2 at least had the opening sequence in the straight jacket before you got the engineer suit. It was easier to find ammo which killed the tension a bit, as did your power armor suit near the end.

Dead Space 3 is taking it even further. I end up feeling like a space marine more than an unlucky engineer so far. It has action sure but the horror aspects are no longer based on a feeling of vulnerability.

I see you point no doubt but the horror definatley has its strong points through out the game.I must admit I do feel like a space marine more then a unlucky crazy engineer which sucks but I do look through those things to better the experience.I love DS3 to death and find that it still withstands the heartpounding sequences through out the game.in my opinion.we all have opinions and like and dislikes.So I do respect your opinion and see what your talking about.I dont think its a bargain bin game at all but I can see people waiting for it to drop a little which could be the best solution for those who are not sure about the game.

The first 1-2 hours Issac doesnt even have a suit. Im 6 hrs in all coop and it takes 6-8 plasma cutter shots per average enemy. I have discovered the shotgun upclose is beast. I have refrained from using unless I start getting low on ammo. Rarely have seen human enemies since the escape on Earth. Its a fun game, and true to the atmosphere. If the derelict ships dont scream Dead Space atmosphere , they havent a clue. The EA rage is ridiculous at this point, and thankfully well written and detailed reviews are reflecting that. Honestly if EA wasnt on the box, it would have a very different opinion from certain ppl. Great game, check it out.

Why does starting off with a full suit remove 'vulnerability', if you're still wondering around a corridor full of crap thrown at you from all angles?

If that were true than the (Old) Alien Vs Predator games were also poor considering you were a Marine with full armour and could carry 9 guns. Yet we all know that game is an example of successful horror.
