Some thoughts on the recently released demo for EA's space survival horror action game Dead Space 3.
If EA and Motive Studio plan on remaking all the main Dead Space entries, they have to change a lot of what made Dead Space 3 so divisive.
Simple, do not bother with a Dead Space 3 remake. Rather have a new entry for Dead Space.
Remaking 3 would need to be a reworked and somewhat changed remake as 3 was flawed in most peoples eyes and the worst entry.
WTMG's Kyle Nicol:
"Was Dead Space 3 really that bad?
Well, it’s a complicated question. Dead Space 3 is undeniably the weakest of the trilogy. It’s a game that deviates so far from the original formula, that it throws a lot of what made Dead Space special in the first place out of the window. Although, where it does make up for it is one of the best cooperative shooters on the market, even after all this time. Do I recommend playing this game ten years later? Hell yes. But make sure your expectations are in the right place. It has a lot of problems that bring it down."
With the upcoming Dead Space Remake, we replay and rank the original three games.

They need to seriously continue this ip with a new entry. Even if it's just another movie I don't care I love everything about this game.
I never had the chance to play the first and second one yet. I think I should play those first
The first game was definitely my favorite, although Dead Space 2 is still quite good, and it was a very positive experience playing through it for the first time. The other 2 playthroughs were not as engaging, I was just trying to get the last few achievements and I knew where every scare was, which corners the enemies were behind, etc.
I've been worried that the third would be far too little horror and far too much military shooter-esque action, but after playing the singleplayer demo I think it still felt like Dead Space. I must admit though, I didn't like the Co-op as much. I definitely recommend playing the game solo your first time through if you're like me and you enjoyed the true feeling of hopelessness, powerlessness, and isolation the first game exuded, I think that if this installment has any amount of that feeling to emit it will be best experienced playing solo. I'll save co-op for after I've played through singleplayer at least once, maybe twice. When I'm bored and looking to unlock a few more achievements I'll try it out.
i couldn't find the demo in the marketplace :(
