Due to glitches: Naughty Bear and Rage.

Due to difficulty: X-Com (the first one), XCOM (new one on impossible setting), and Demon's Souls.

Due to being an awful game: FF13

I did finish both XCOM games, but it required periods of cooldown.

I said "F THIS GAME!" at the ending (or complete lack of one) for Final Fantasy Tactics. I still want to BBQ every chocobo I see.

The mile high thing took me ages to do. I randomly decided to have a bum day at uni and just thought **** it. Everyone has lectures I can do it by the time they get back. Several hours later I was still trying. I managed to do it in the end but there was no sense of gratitude that I had done it. More confusion that I have wasted my day doing it

Honestly this game and ZombiU (since I refuse to play it on Normal).
I completely enjoyed the masochistic nature of DeS and DaS so I never got frustrated with drying in those games.

While playing Ninja Gaiden 3. The game was ass from beginning to end...and by end I mean the part where the ridiculous main boss summons a dinosaur that can go from a laying position to standing and biting your ass off in less than a second.

So after getting boned a few times...I figured I'd seen enough .. ejected the disc. Crushed it..and placed it I. The trash where it belongs.

Forgot to mention how you have to destroy a chopper with a bow but that same bow don't do shit against Nina dogs or anyone really.

Screw that game and team Ninja

I've played so many game where they were difficult but not horrible, but there is one game that comes to mind that took me close to a week to get through one level on the hardest difficulty.
Call of Duty: World at War on the level "Downfall" where you where storming the Reichstag. That is the level that made me ask the question: "Where the F**K did the Nazis get heat seeking grenades?" Literally every time I would stop for a second to get cover or heal or anything there would be 2 or 3 grenade warning icons.
So nerve racking and I would play until I get a checkpoint and then I would stop for the night because i'm old and I don't need that kind of aggravation.

Making stupid mistakes/miscalculations... repeatedly. Recent example? Far Cry 3, trying to stealth take-down a patrol dog.

Didn't realize until after the 10th try, you can just snipe them, and it will still count as being undetected (I don't have a friggen clue why that didn't register in my head after the 3rd try).
