It appears that R* have taken any of the criticisms directed at GTA 4, RDR and MP3, fixed them & then thrown plenty of new awesome ideas in the mix.

GTA doesn't have a monopoly over anything, sandbox wise many people would agree games like Just Cause and Saints Row have a better sandbox than GTA now. GTA is now known for it's superior story telling and character development.

Looks good. Seems like the trains are back with a vengeance, semis with trailers again, whatever the deal is with driving the car off the car hauler and the Jeep out of the cargo plane, we have dogs, helicopters, fighter jets and a Chenowth style buggy. Add that to all the bikes, motorcycles, cars, trucks, SUVs, aircraft, etc and it looks like we are picking up back where San Andreas left off.

I've never laughed so hard at a GTA trailer before! Detail was amazing as well. Action packed, great voice actors, dogs, tanks, crashing trains. This is the GTA i've dreamed of.

Yeah. Everything about this trailer made me smile. The Rottweiler, the fact that Trevor is a psycho (he reminds of Porter from Payback), the detail of all the enviroments, planes, trains and automobiles, and the brilliant back and forth between the characters which reminds me of an 80's 'buddy' film.

I hope they don't get in trouble though as the R8-alike looks exactly the same as an actual R8.

Character models could improve but the enviroments look awesome, a lot more colorful than GTA 4, can't wait to see the PC version.

It seems the game won't be as badly optimized as GTA 4 since the meshes on the textures seem to be perfectly made which would even make low res textures look higher res. Like the meshes mod on skyrim. Rockstar never fails to impress.

While the overall quality and gameplay looks stunning, the graphics are just meh... due to console version, obviously.

It has jaggies everywhere, no proper AA, view distance is poor, textures are blurry. I won't be surprised if runs at sub-hd, like RDR on consoles. Animations are very well done though. I'll be waiting for the PC version.

No, it's not all we care about. But I'd rather play the next GTA game on a next-gen console with mind-blowing graphics. Graphics are improved, sure. But who wouldn't want to play this game with Watch Dogs graphics?

The next GTA after this will probably be like at least five-six years ahead, and that's a long wait. I'd rather wait one or two more years and see a truly next-gen GTA game, that's all.

Oh I'll play the game, and if it'll take like a year for them to release the game on PC, I'll have to play it on my PS3. And if you remember, GTA IV played like, well, let's say not "very well" on PS3, running at a lower-res than 360 version and with frame drops/jaggies.

R* is probably one of the most consistent devs this gen, all of the games they released including GTA IV, L.A Noire, RDR, Max Payne 3 kicked major butt. No wonder GTA V will be another hit and I'm all excited just to see the how the story goes (how I love dark humor and Houser's writing) but a part of me just wishes to play it with better graphics. I mean who doesn't, we all want games to look better right? This one just looks like an improved GTA IV in terms of graphics.

Gameplay, story and animations though, are another story.

I'm liking the less serious tone, since they are emulating "people" & they should have a sense of humour as well.

At this point, it's not fair to criticise the graphics considering the scope and ambition for this game. Heck, if Killzone or Uncharted could opt for bigger environments at the cost of minimal graphical improvements, I'm all for it.

GTA IV was a technical leap, in my eyes anyway. There was so much detail packed into that "tiny" map. A new texture no matter where you looked. Killer physics.....while not perfect...still leaps and bounds beyond most games being released today. I think IV gets a bad rap for not being GTA:SA 2. But "crap graphics" is a stretch.

I wonder why people don`t care about characters in games. In this game they look so incredible unrealistic and generic. I`d never buy a gta game(I have seen people play too much of this series) because I won`t force myself through cutscenes where I feel I`m in a middle of a hollywood film like pearl harbor.

while I am as excited as the next guy for this, I have to say the facial animations and lip sync looks a little below par on occasion. Not trolling, but given the detail on some recent games I was expecting something amazing. however I guess this something has to give given the current generation of consoles.
