I personally love rhythm games of all sorts. Samurai Beatdown is one such game where you will have to tap to the beat in order to dispatch foes. We had a quick chat with Beatnik Games about their plans for Samurai Beatdown post launch and what it was like making the game for PSM.
Nickerous writes, "Sony has done an outstanding job creating value for the Playstation Plus service by allowing users to play games for free (as long as you have the PS+ service, anyway). Now, they’ve gone a step further by giving out one free game a week for the next 6 weeks from their Playstation Mobile brand of games. "
So I guess if we wait a few days, it's okay to submit old news and have it approved?
Push Square: "Samurai Beatdown is a simple to pick up slice of rhythm action on PlayStation Mobile, though it only truly comes to life on the hardest difficulty setting. It can be technically completed in a single hour-long session, but there's more than a chance that you'll be fine-tuning those final difficulty runs for a little while; it's unlikely you'll perfect it immediately unless you actually have the skills of a samurai."
Fair review.
Everyone can judge for themselves easily enough though, as it's free to download this week! :)
PS3 Attitude writes:
"With just over a month since the release of PlayStation Mobile for Vita and PlayStation certified Android devices, PS3 Attitude took the opportunity to chat with Damien Cerri, Director at Beatnik Games, about Samurai Beatdown. We’re given the origins story of the developer as well as their launch PSM game.
PS3 Attitude would like to thank Cerri for finding the time to answer our questions. We look forward to seeing what Beatnik Games can come up with in the future as well as the updates he mentions are coming to Samurai Beatdown."
