"How messed up can the video game industry be? It’s the job of the publisher to provide funding to the developers so that they can create the game, isn’t it? But Obsidian’s CEO revealed how cost conscious publishers can be."
Gary Green said: You’ll be forgiven if you haven’t heard of the Ar Tonelico trilogy. The previous two games arrived so late in the PS2’s life-cycle that they simply went unnoticed. While most were tinkering with their shiny new PS3s, Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia and Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica were being ‘returned to sender’ by your local Game stores. Luckily, you won’t need to have played them to understand and appreciate this third and final chapter, Qoga (pronounced k-yoga) tells the story of a racial war between humans and Reyvateils, a breed of biologically produced female cyborgs capable of reproduction, while still having a digital mind.
Oh my god. I kinda wish this would get a remaster on PS5, it would be awesome. One of my favorite games on PS3.
That and 3D Dot Game Heroes. It's a shame that some stuff is stuck on PS3.
"The Singapore-based indie games publisher Spiral Up Games and Qingdao/Shandong-based (China) indie games developer Aluba Studio, today announced with great happiness and excitement that their hacking adventure "Cyber Manhunt 2: New World" is coming to PC via Steam EA on May 10th, 2024." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
"The Berlin-based (Germany) indie games developer Tarock Interactive today announced with great delight and happiness that their open-world survival/crafting game "Lost Legions", is now currenly in development for PC." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
Unfucking believable. This really does make my blood boil. Such nerve and arrogance from these publishers!! I have no doubt one of these was EA or Activision
It has to be EA, why? Because didn't they already say they're going to be distributing successfully funded kickstarter games on Origin? They know they'll make a killing on something like Project Eternity because gamers really want to support Obsidian. I hope Project Eternity never comes to Origin because EA doesn't deserve a dime.
