Yoshida, a.k.a. “Yoshi”, recently released a letter to the fans, giving information about the Alpha test for FFXIV 2.0, as well as discussing the beta test for both the PC and the elusive PS3 version.
Final Fantasy XIV fans can now properly benchmark their PCs and check out some of what's coming to their game this summer.
Richard writes: Final Fantasy XIV Online on Xbox is built for newcomers.
The Xbox profanity filter is currently ruining the readability of the FFXIV chat on Xbox Series X/S due to censored words.
Lol, damn... At this point, they were better off keeping FF XIV away from Xbox. It has been nothing but obstacle, after obstacle.
I'm not convinced this is the profanity filter. It doesn't make sense to censor words like class, harvest and dance. It seems to be a bug.
Yeah these new fangled filters are going a bit too far. I have a game that filters "wtf". It's a censor for a self-censoring phrase. But I think overall it's how it should be. If you don't want certain language being used in your game by your player base, then it's up to you to filter/ censor the language you don't want. I can respect that. What I can't respect is when you say things that are not really offensive then you get ostracized for it.
This is completely false, I tested this on my son's child account and mine, this is not Microsoft censoring they will censor swears but not the combination of letters I can prove this with a screenshot where I use all mentioned words in the article but do not know how to upload a picture.
Is the Alpha test only for the current members of FFXIV?
Awww, man.......it's SOOOO nice to hear words about the PS3 version. I am PRAYING to the gaming gods that I get in this beta. I bought FF13 on launch night, and before I even fired up the game, I went online and registered the FF14 beta access application that came with the game. The deal at the time was, FF13 buyers were getting priority.........I wonder if, with basically all new people running the FF14 show over there, they are still going to honor that deal? That was a publisher promise, it wasn;t from the developer. I think most people forgot about this, FF13 came out SO long ago. I don't think people are going to hold Square's feet to the fire on the FF13 day 1 purchase= FF14 beta access deal they made with the gamers.
I hope Square does honor it though, because without playing this game first, there's no way I can decide if I'm actually going to pay a subscription to play a game for the first time in my long life of gaming.......something just a year or so back, I swore to myself I'd never do........but the new FF14 Realm Reborn trailers.........damn. No old-school FF fan like myself can deny it at least LOOKS like it's AWESOME!!
Whoo finally some more news :D
For anybody interested in the PS3 version, I have started a FFXIV PS3 guild called Phalanx. For more information, please visit the website:
