OXCGN:
"Sniper Elite V2 is a simple game with a simple purpose.
Set during the Battle of Berlin (April to May 1945), an American Office of Strategic Services (predecessor to the CIA) officer named Karl Fairburne has but one task: learn about, capture and/or eliminate all information and personnel related to the German V-2 Rocket program.
Throughout the game’s varied environments, players will stop armored convoys, infiltrate creepy Nazi bases, and prevent the utter annihilation of Europe by the devastating V-2 rocket."
Jason was woefully unprepared for the slower-paced nature of Sniper Elite V2 — originally from the last-gen of consoles and now on practically everything (He played on his Switch). There’s no running and gunning, but there are certainly cool set pieces.
From Rebellion: "We’ve been delighted to see your response to our upcoming release of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. As an independent developer we value your support and try to be as transparent as we can.
For this reason we want to tell you about a small update to the boxed edition of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered in Europe and Australasia. The boxed edition in these territories will now be releasing three days later, on May 17th."
Carlos writes "2017 was a great year for the Xbox Backwards Compatibility program with many of our favourite 360 games made playable on Xbox One. That said, there are still a ton of highly requested games yet to arrive in the program and with 2018 set to see even more added, it makes sense that the first of the years new additions are now being given the treatment. This past week has seen six new games made backwards compatible, but which ones are worth returning to once more?"
"Six new games arrive via Backwards Compatibility"
Does anyone not see the funny side to this statement? I do... lol
I love the Sniper elite series & V2 is a great game & as I still have my 360 copy I'm good to go. Great news & it's free for me too.
I don't know why we don't get the occasional WW2 shooter now...these days we have too many modern warfare ones and soon we will have too many future warfare ones.
I do wish that when they did games on WW2 that they got away from those cliched locations and American focus. The war was a great deal bigger than after the Normandy landings in France. Lots of other locations and time periods.
Sniper game is a good idea, actually. Can't believe Rebellion, who have made some of the worst games out, did this one?
I'm particularly interested in the coop in this game..
