Kotaku - Yesterday, Kotaku posted this still image of an inventive way to hold the PS3 controller and play mecha game Armored Core.
I'd never seen anything like it. It was assumed that this was a gag. That's exactly what Japanese forum users said when the photo first surfaced: is this a joke?
Cultured Vultures: FromSoftware appears to be moving towards a new Armored Core game, so Alex takes a look at what it would need to include.
Be fun. Be good. Be difficult but rewarding based on your skill of the rig. Be "mech-y."

Role playing and/or open world "elements"? Not "be out of the cockpit" but ability to interact with NPCs and actively explore the world. To investigate research and scrounge about for resources and parts.
Screenshots from the reported Armored Core 6 game leak out after a consumer survey sent out by developer FromSoftware.
Sorry, but I don't want another AC title, of which there have been more - far more - 5 so far. Never felt a sense of weight for all the flying around.
Armored Core was a regular 6/10 series back in the day. Hopefully current golden age From Software will give me an awesome mech game again...it's been too long since ZOE2 came out.
In December 2017, From Software’s Yasunori Ogura said that the company has “no intention of ending the Armored Core series in its current state” and asked fans to “please wait a little while longer.”
And now in 2018, with a new Armored Core title still to be announced, From Software president Hidetaka Miyazaki was quizzed on the subject during a Famitsu interview about the company’s newly announced PlayStation VR game Deracine.
“In a previous interview, I mentioned three things moving along on our major development line, but Deracine is not one of those,” Miyazaki told Famitsu. “I wanted to let some of From Software’s fans know that.”
Haven't they already said?
And any chance we could get something similar to Fallout? Monster Hunter?
The bastard child of Fallout and Monster Hunter?
