Sadly I'm with you.

This gen has mostly been a lot of big pubs stuffing a lot of over-hyped, big-budget games down our throats. Some of them were good (BioShock, Uncharted, Gears of War, Forza, GT and Blur) but most others have been the same old, same old.

It would be nice if it was something innovative and fun-invoking like Limbo or Super Meatboy or MineCraft, but that would be like asking Activision to publish a game they couldn't milk on an annual basis and actually moved gaming forward not backward.

Call me when Valkyrie Profile 3 get announced on the cover. I guess the South Park reveal was suprising and it looks cool so maybe it will be something long forgotten like VP3, Legend of Dragoon 2, or a new tenchu but odds are its another fps or sequel to a franchise. We need more jrpgs and real stealth games. Thief and Hitman give me hope for stealth but only vs13 can reignite jrpgs again.

At least we got the magnificent mgs collection. Im still sad that twin snakes wasnt included but thats like bieng dissapointed you won a free ferrari thats an ugly color.

It's all about the business. This reveal will be hyped to no end and employees will point to this issue when people are in the store and say...

"So, would you like to pre-order the new blah blah blah game that was revealed in this month's issue of Game Informer? Oh, you didn't know? Here, have a look. And by the way, how about a Game Informer subscription? Do you have an edge card?"
