DualShockers writes, "When PSN+ was announced at E3 2010, no one was really shocked by any of the details given, early beta access, possibly some cross-game chat, pretty expected stuff. However, I was not disappointed at the lack of shock value in this announcement. My own personal disappointment lies in a business decision by SONY and Sony Online Entertainment with regards to MMO pricing. The PS3 is the perfect platform for MMOs, but if there are multiple MMOs and they’re charging for all of them, it kind of defeats the purpose of marketing to the same group. I proposed an idea a while back that I sincerely felt SONY could have thought of alone, but it appears that this iceberg is heading towards the PS3 and the MMO demographic is about to smash into it.
First of all, there is a big problem with charging fees for every MMO game on PS3 at once and expecting them all to be successful. Obviously third parties will do whatever they want. Regardless of of...."
A new patent recently published by Sony wants to gather biometric data of gamers to track whether one is being harassed using AI tools.
I hope this is one of those patents that never comes to fruition.
I already dislike the fact you can pay a significant amount for a online service buy associated games and content on said service and get banned from that service over potentially a misunderstanding the bans are already handed out for flimsy reasons
I'd rather see money invested in a ban that simply removes the offensive players ability to communicate with unknown players allow them to continue party chats with friends but not with Joe blow on cod.
Take my social security and bank account numbers too! Here’s a picture of my wife and our address.
At this rate I feel Sony will eventually sell a room to play games in it where they can monitor your every breath
I want them to censor erotic content by measuring my groin temperature so i dont get too distracted while playing black ops 2.
Terrible idea. Not only do I not consent to providing my biometric data, the potential for mishandling biometric data is almost a certainty. Positive stress and negative stress can produce similar changes in biometrics. Interpreting the precise emotion a person is feeling is not only invasive but could be easily misconstrued. I hope this never comes to fruition.
Sony has recently published a new patent that wants to dynamically handle the games' difficulty and gameplay based on the player's emotions.
This is something I might use. Sometimes I play some good games but they don’t have difficulty option and are a little too easy.
cool idea
cool idea for horror games especially
the way it's explained here sounds like it could never be forced hopefully, so that's ok with me
Final Fantasy XIV fans can now properly benchmark their PCs and check out some of what's coming to their game this summer.
Seems to me that this would be a huge benefit to having PSN+ , I would be willing to pay double.
yes, there should be, not just SOE mmo games, but all MMO games.
its should be part of the PSN+ service.
... This PSN+ membership thing should really have alot more features..
THis lost Sony some serious points with gamers since they always touted free. Icluding MMO subs would be awesome
I can't believe I got a bubble taken off for a fucking joke. I posted a video to a rimshot, confirming my comment was a joke, and the mods still insisted I really was trolling....
Yet when two people give me a bubble+, IT NEVER FUCKING SHOWS UP! You mods are idiots. Yeah, I said it. Sue me.
On Topic: Cool. Only reason I'm even replying to the topic is because yet another bubble could be easily taken off for Off Topic-ness.....
