Exclusive Games List for Next-Gen Consoles

Gaming Target has updated their list of exclusive games for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii. Their analysis now also includes ranking information from MetaCritic so gamers can compare and contrast the quality of each console's exclusive titles as well as the quanity.

The Xbox 360 continues to lead in the overall number of exclusives, with the Wii gaining fast and the PS3 in last place.

Its good that american sites show american exclusives because they know about them. Try asking them about some of the games they obviously do not. check this site http://www.the-magicbox.com... there you will see some titles that american sites care or know nothing about. Just like the american anylysts that predict this and that in favour of the 360 and jap analyst pretict this and that in favour of the ps3. Dont watch it. last i heard the xbox was going to be the biggest thing and that umd was going to be the greatest. that's a pretty pathetic list. There's games exclusive to PS3 not listed. Isn't Ace Combat 6 now confirmed to be a TIMED Exclusive and not a sole exclusive? Also, isn't Blazing Angels Secret Missions also coming to PS3?
Just for the fact numerous PS3 exclusives are not listed I'd say this a pretty biased list...

Final Fantasy series and MGS series are major sellers for the PS3 and all he said is that Xbox 360 is doing well without a major game making an appearance (aka Halo series) i already know some people which are waiting to buy an Xbox 360 til halo 3 comes out, and i dont know LOADS of people which game alot. So with this in mind i can say i expect alot of Xbox 360s to be brought this Christmas so i hope MS are ready, also i hope that they get the 65 chips out aswell but thats another story.

Final Fantasy IS a system seller, and Halo is a system seller. come beginning 2008 there will have been alot more Xbox 360s sold which means more games sold, which means more opertunity for developers.

MS is going to make a killing with Halo3 (like they always do) and I think it's pretty much guaranteed that they'll meet that with a price drop so that people who have been waiting for the game won't have a reason not to purchase it. I've gotta say though, Sony is going to have a tough time without their established franchises this year, but their first-party line-up seems pretty strong to me.

With multiplatform titles being purchased between systems for personal reasons (ie: Unreal Tournament 3 for PS3 since most of my friends have a ps3.) Is it better to have more proven franchises or more fresh titles? This applies to all of the MGS, Halos, Splinter Cells, Ratchets. Are those franchises based on more of the same type of game concept but with a refinery of improved aspects, or do they offer something we have never seen? Would a ‘new and unproven’ games chart be useful and then who would have newer, original titles? I say that games like HS, Afrika, Uncharted and Too Human, Bioshock, Alan Wake are certainly intriguing.

I think including the Wii in this comparison is totally wrong, since making a Wii game requires a completely new set of development processes compared with making a next-gen game for 360 or PS3. To be honest I am surprised there aren't more Wii exclusives than 360.

What this article does do is highlight how far ahead MS are with the 360, and also how much 3rd party developers love the easy dev tools and already proven market.

At the moment I think the 360 is in the same position the PS2 was when the original xbox came out, its got a market already, and because of this... PS3 exclusives will be thin on the table, particularly from 3rd party devs.

I think the PS3 may take over from the 360 in the future when it's down at the £200 mark, in probably 3-4 years, as it's a much bigger brand than xbox, and at that price point with things like eye toy and singstar it'll become mass market again, particularly if blu ray wins the HD-DVD race.

well some are multiplatform like Ace Combat...they also added Shivering Isles which is not a game, "Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged Volume 1" - is that a game? Blazing Angels: Secret Missions is also on the PS3. MotoGP '07 is on PS2.

And there are few left off the ps3 list such as Ninja Gaiden Sigma (an important exclusive in my eyes and I dont understand their reasoning since they add Naruto), WarDevil (an extremely important exclusive),Monster Hunter 3, Mist of Chaos, NBA 08. But we'll have to wait until the end of the week for some of these and more at Sony Gamer's Day, such as Sly Cooper 4 (to be announced this week), ICO 3, Soccom 4 (to be announced this week).

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a remake of ninja gaiden on the xbox so its not an exclusive,

but then again it missed out gears 2, ninja gaiden 2, killer instinct 3 (up in the air), next doa game (maybe go multi)

so you could say therers a few missed on both list's

I see what you're getting out with Ninja Gaiden Sigma...but lets say it's going to act like an exclusive. It's going to be an amazing looking game that will only be on the ps3, and NG2 won't be out until next year at the soonest...so in games and sales wise, NGS is an important exclusive...doesn't matter whether its a remake or not...that only matters to people who played the original.

Shivering Isles will be on its way to the PS3 then if it's counted as a game. I didnt know you had to buy a game, and then the addon would also be called a game...

I sincerely understand what you're saying about Sigma. But lets think about it from a consumers point of view. This year they will see Sigma running on the PS3...looking pretty great...and they won't see it on the 360. And Sony will be advertising it as an exclusive...as well Tecmo, so it "acts" like an exclusive.

It's also amusing to see how Western this list is...there are lots of Japanese games missing. ANd since the PS3 is multiregion...these games can be quite important when thinking about a nextgen console.

As long as there is a decent amount of exclusives, especially if there is diversity. The 360 has the least diverse line-up. The Wii has the kiddiest line-up, or tech demos or tired franchises like Metroid; Metroid is not gonna inspire people to go buy the Wii in droves, by the way. Sony has pretty original games, so it's your call.

The funny thing is it posts "proven franchises" such as "banjo kazooie 3", which is odd considering it's being developed by rare. Also, Wolfenstein will come out on PS3, same with Ace Combat 6, Eternal Sonata and probably Culdcept Saga. There are also plenty of exclusives missing for PS3, such as War Devil and Monster Hunter 3. The Getaway is also a proven franchise, being part of the greatest hits series. The Wii Game "Soul Calibur Legends" shouldn't be in green since as the guy said, it's a spin off, not part of the series.

As of now, "released exclusives" hardly matter, since they've already spurred the sales they were going to. If you didn't buy the console already, you probably didn't want, at least not much, any of the exclusives for the systems.

They should also put on that site: "Games that are NOT on this platform". The Wii would miss many games that are coming on PC, 360 and PS3. You know, like Stranglehold, The Last Remnant, and so on.

What's funny is how he mentions that the 360 is more likely to get "good games", despite the fact that it's natural to have many good games when you're that much time in the market. Hell, I'd be surprised if it didn't. The guy writting this is a moron.

No matter what the news is you will twist it in Sony favor lol! 360 is not only bringing more games but it's also bringing XNA games which will not be found on PS3 as well as many RTS style games and more so you need to rethink again about who's being more diverse! Wolfenstein is being made for 360 from the ground up and I doubt it will come to PS3 anytime soon after because of that! The bottom line is that as of right now 360 has the edge in games and will continue to grow while PS3 is slacking big time! There are many games not on the list for 360 as well and in time I'm sure you will start to see the light so be patient! I have a 360, but I play my PS3 99% of the time. Just like when i bought an XBOX and played my PS2 all the time. To each his own though but Sony has had there system out for 6 months. How in the hell can you even start comparing metrics like this. It's useless at this point in time. Now 360 has been out 1.7 years, and I bought some sports games and gears ohh and Lost planet all good games. But you'd figure after almost 2 years you'd figure to see more exclusives by now. This list was a pretty good list but like I said not all games were listed. It's no secret the 360 has the edge when it comes to games but the PS3 hardware is Elite. I have both consoles and I worry that my 360 will die on me within two years, again. Im on my second 360. I also play my PS3 90% of the time. I was playing Forza and BlackSite: Area 51 Demo last night and I was shocked how last Gen it looked. Not that it is last Gen but it was like playing Xbox then Xbox 360. I didn't realize how much better PS3 look til last night, then going back to playing PS3 games. Forza does not look as good as GT Concept game thats free on the PS3, it was funny because of the rumble but not as shrp looking. SOCOM is a big title that was not mentioned and some information will be out on it this week. "It is not a race it is a marathon".

Area 51 demo on the 360....Looks waaaaaaaaay better than Resistance. In my opinion and many of my friends and fam....its laughable to even compare Resistance to it or just about any FPS game on the 360.

Now in regards to Forza...I like every aspect of the Forza demo much better than the GT download on the ps3 network. The GT game looks good, don't get me wrong. The mountains look fantastic...but the ground texures are a joke...flat...and not very detailed.....The contorls are floaty to me, and when you crash or bump into something....the absense of any car damage....just takes away from the experience in my opinion. I absolutely love Forza 2. I like the direction they went with the graphics style...The mountains, ground textures, and car models are amazing. The HDR lighting is mind blowing...the AA is fantastic as well. As you can tell...I am very pleased with the Forza series. GT3 was the best when it came out. I believe the series has gone downward since. Forza came out with a bang...and Forza 2 is building upon its previous game in a big way. I respected your opinion. Please Respect mine. I have heard some fanboys claim that a few on that list is coming to the ps3. The fact is "Every" game on that list is exclusive as we know it. Sure there are rumors of Shivering Isles eventually coming to the ps3. But absolutely nothing has been confimred. So, as it stands "NOW"...They are all exclusive to the 360/next gen home console.

You have to commend Microsoft for being aggressively active on getting developers on board this time around. Keep in mind...MS is the baby of the video game console bunch....They have done and impressive job this go around. And its no mystery that with its massive install base...only being on the market for a year and a few months....Draws in more and more exclusives and 3rd party gems.

Can we all agree...Its good to be a next gen gamer right now.

i was at my local gamestop about a week ago to trade in an original xbox i found by my dumpster (still working) and while i was in line 2 people we trading in their ps3s (i think they were friends). i asked one of them why they were trading it in and he said "well it's nice and all but for the most part most of the games i want i can get on my 360 already, i bought this thinking i would use it a lot more than i have but when a game comes out i can't force myself to buy the ps3 version because 1.) the games look a little better on my 360 and 2.) i get achievements for the 360 versions." and i said "yeah but what about games that wont be comming out on the 360 like MGS4 and Final Fantasy?" and he said "i know but i had thought the same thing about DMC and VF and even assassins creed but those are all gonna come out on my 360 too." and then he used the money he got from his ps3 and reserved VF5 for the 360, halo 3, and mass effect, which by the way the gamestop guy said was being pushed back again...

I've encountered simular type stories. That would be an interesting statistic...how many ps3's get returned or exchanged for the 360. I know of or have witnessed it happen a good 8 times personally. My son thinks I should return my ps3. But, I can't and won't do it. At some point, there should be a game "exclusive" to the ps3....that I don't want to miss out on. Thats my problem. If you don't buy all systems you will be missing out. It does not matter what system will win the war. Gamecube lost last gens war but I loved playing the first party Nintendo games. If I had only had a PS2 or Xbox1 I would have been missing some good stuff. Sad thing for me, im not rich.

the PC is microsoft platform. The same way that the PSP belongs to Sony... to make it fair then.. any exclusive that will be release for the PS2 or the PSP should be remove from the list of exclusives for the PS3. Many of these XBox360/PC games are being made for Live Anywhere and vista... Which means microsoft makes money. So, think of it this way.. maybe it helps you... XBox360/PC = Microsoft. PS3/PSP/PS2 = Sony.

will share allot of the exclusives shown, but i think Sony will bring more to the table. They sale good reliable systems, they've also made a system with good hardware. There should be a price cut coming before the holidays (cross your fingers if you don't already have a PS3) plus they'll have great games too. Sony did miss the boat last year due to it being pushed back. I can't back the 360 because the joy I got out of xbox 1 plus they charge for live (overated). Home will be out by the holidays and will really bring allot of gamers to the system. The ps 3 has a ton of potential (mgs, gow3, gthd and ff 13) but half the games that people are ranting about haven’t been shown in any form. At least we have seen videos of all of the xbox 360 games that people are talking about on here. I love the future game line up for the ps3 but sony was horrible to us sony fans this go around, all the lies (2 hdmi ports, 1080p at 120fps and 8 controllers anyone), the cgi trailers, the lack of innovation, the lack of a proper gfx card, trying to hype up killzone 2 when the first one was a huge bomb (commercially and critically) and the most idiotic PR campaign of all time are hard to overlook. Heck it was such a mess that ken lost his job over it and he made the PS brand, that would be like nintendo firing miyamoto. Nothing is without flaws and to ignore these flaws is a definitive trait of a fanboy. Anyways, each system has a stellar list worthy of a PSWii360 combo (yeah right... how much would that be again?). Okay... Oh, and about the whole "quality and quantity" issue (I'm referring to some above comments, not LOrenz) PLEASE stop talking trash about a game YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED. I agree with you. People do need to stop dissing games they never played. But the same can be said with praising a game that hasn't been played. Bioshock, mass effect, etc. All has said these games will be AAA titles. And the same can be said with PS3 titles. Killzone, Metal Gear, etc. None of these games have been played by anyone here. Microsoft has done a MUCH better job this time around securing exclusives and quality shared licenses. Some definite major-league titles already out, and a fall lineup to die for.

Wii's first-party titles alone are worth mentioning, nevermind the third-party stuff.

PS3's lineup looks a little thin, though some of their exclusives are AAA titles (MGS4, FFXIII, LittleBigPlanet, Lair, etc.). Their biggest challenges right now lie in securing more exclusives, and preserving their rights to the AAA titles mentioned above. (Imagine if MGS4 or FFXIII come to the 360. Ouch).

For all you flaming fanboys out there: Take a good long look at that list, and tell me it's not a good time to be a gamer. Not just a PS3, or Wii, or 360 fan--but a GAMER.

Xbox 360 has quantity, even quality, but very little diversity. 360 which has mostly shooters and other games that are or were usually better played on a PC than on a console.

PS3 is only slacking in the quantity department, but that should change this thursday and at E3. There's plenty of diversity though. The Getaway, Eight Days, LBP, Lair, Eyedentify, Eye of Judgement, Singstar, Heavenly Sword, Killzone, Warhawk, MGS4, FFXIII, FFVXIII, Monster Hunter 3, FolksSoul, God of War 3, ICO Team project, Loco Roco.

Wii lacks diversity and quality.

There are titles missing on PS3, and some 360 games counted as exclusives that are not.

There should also be a list for high profile titles and proven franchises that will NOT hit a particular system. The Wii will be most affected by this. Examples:

Virtua Fighter 5, Devil May Cry 4, Resident Evil 5, Stranglehold, GTA, 2 Days to Vegas, the last remnant, Condemned, Oblivion, and so on.

Online wise, the PS3 is about to offer the most value for what you're paying in products and services; especially games. It's not just a virtual console that has old games and that's it. It's not restricted by game size, and it's much more interactive.

The only thing PS3 needs is 6 months and a heavy price cut.

this is a nice list but it will grow incredibly larger come E3 this year. sony has been so tight lipped about anything new , but come e3 they are going to steal the show. heavenlysword, killzone, and finalfantasy13 are going to blow some minds away . they will also release something new to hype.(maybe ZOE3, GodOW3, ICO3,Afrka, and a new firmware 2.00.) all i know is this is going to make gamers finally breakdown and buy a ps3.

edit..#67 probably doesnt even own a system. psn isnt this bad,n4g scares me some times, people get very offended. i was also amazed with the games missing from both lists.

All three companies will drop bombs this E3 and in all the rest of the shows this year. All three companies have something to prove, (MS will need to "continue" to deliver, Sony will "have to deliver this time" and Nintendo will "have to give something to all its fans something to look forward to". Why are people so rabid dude left out plenty of games for both 360 & PS3 i won't bother with lists we'll just have to wait and see whats up in a couple of months.

Whats wrong with people like #67? wow and i thought XBL members were rabid as hell if this site is any reflection of what PSN would be with over 6 million members i would never buy another PS3 again if any epic AAA must have were ever available for it.

we will show the idiot that the builders of the ps3 knew exactly what they were doing when they built the ps3 and also that when he said that sony showed cg trailers the thing is that the ps3 has a supercomputer inside of it and that is the producer of the cg films in the firstplace also movies, in addition to sony adding something that supercomputers dont have and thats gpus, and to you that said that rsx is not right for the ps3 WRONG WRONG WRONG the power of the RSX has a power higher than your whole machine, dont believe me the performance is 1.8 tflops and the 180 only has a performance is only 1 tflop, also know that the motorstorm game only used 10-15% of 2 of the cells 9 processors not cores like the 180 and pc but processors like a supercomputer that is what enables graphics rendering on the cpu as well as the gpu the graphics were all rendered by the rsx alone and looks better than anything on your 180, and didnt use rsx/cell merger sony is so much smarter than you and me and microsoft that you never will understand that the ps3 will NEVER max out the graphics couldve easily surpassed the target render if you check my post for the article on killzone beta comming soon i go deeper into the facts on why the ps3 is still b3yond anything, whatch what you say about sony not building their machine right they arent dumb infact in due time you will see just ingenious they were to build a machine at this magnitude of power.
