"With Dangerous Hunts 2009 the formula receives yet another change; instead of simply giving you weapons, an environment to hunt in and an objective the team has actually attempted to compose a story into the mix. The results are a mixed bag, but credit has to be given to the developers for trying to stray from the norm.
Everything in the game is laid out like a traditional FPS and even encourages you to adopt the run-and-gun attitude due to the time restraint set on each level. When you begin a level you have a set of objectives, some are side missions and can be completed or left alone depending on if you are going for those coveted Achievements. Usually you are hunting a specific animal and along your course of action will be introduced to several other species that you can simply blast away."
Pros
+ Wide assortment of weapons
+ New concept shows promise
+ Solid visuals
Cons
- Never feels challenging
- Poor sound
- Suffers from archaic problems found in most games of this type
Activision is apparently putting a lot of production value into this latest Cabela's title, tapping Brad Santos, screenwriter and creative director, to pen the tale of Cole Rainsford, who has joined his estranged father in the African safari to hunt dangerous animals terrorizing local villages there. See, kids? Hunting is a noble pursuit.

If you are an avid hunter or a gamer looking for a realistic hunting experience then the below list is just what you are looking for.
Sadly, Cabela's 2009 is a mess overall. Tracking in Hunter Sense is way too difficult because trails are tricky to find; the mission structure is disjointed; and the graphics are rougher than a bear's bum. Best leave this one out in the wilderness.
