15 Things That Xbox One Needs To Set Right

"With two of the largest companies in the world today, going all Hippopotamus bellicose on each other for marking their spots in the gaming market, we have two great consoles. Each with their respective appealing features. And equally appalling gaffes. We’ve already seen how the PS4 needs to suck it up and bring in some much desired and useful features; about time we let you know how MS has bungled the Xbox One."

Oh, please give us backward compatibility.

nerdman673702d ago

Both consoles need it, seriously.
For games from all of their past consoles

SilentGuard3702d ago

I wouldn't think it would too hard for backwards compatibility with at least the original Xbox. They both after all are x86 based machines.

ThanatosDMC3702d ago

I want BC for the PS4. If it can read/install date from my Ass Creed 4 PS3 disk, Sony should be able to create some sort of emulator to bring PS3 games onto the PS4.

Shadowsteal3702d ago

First of all nothing can emulate the programming mess that was the cell processor. The only way they could possibly do b/c is by putting a cell processor inside the PS4 which would make it cost $550-$600. So don't expect b/c to come to PS4 in a firmware update. If you want to play PS3 games so bad then use a PS3 or wait for Sony's PlayStation Now service. What you're saying is a lot easier to "say" than actually "do". Being able to "read" a bluray disk and copy data has nothing to do with running a game that was designed to run on a processor that is exactly the opposite of PS4's processor.

You think that but there was a topic just a day ago about this exact thing.

So yeah, I've got to disagree with your statement that "nothing can emulate the programming mess that was the cell processor."

Something can, and will, given enough time.

Ugh, I hate these slide show articles with 1 "thing" per page.

caseh3702d ago

It's already in the pipeline, it's called Playstation Now.

Not about to give true B\C with that cash cow looming on the horizon are they.

RosweeSon3702d ago

Games would be a start but I pretty much agree with what that fool at Microsoft said, if your paying over £400 for a new console and all you wanna do is play your older games why did you go Next gen surely it could have waited whilst you finish off what games you obviously still want to play, I bought a ps4 on launch still got plenty to get through on my ps3 do I want backwards compatibility, uh no I'll just play the old stuff on my ps3 and sell when I'm done by which time all the good stuff will be on ps4, it's called patience.

Scrivlar3702d ago

All I would like is to have the option to delete all unsaved videos in the upload center, because I can't be arsed deleting them all one by one.

Shadowsteal3702d ago

There's a delete all option if you press "options" when your in the captures storage management screen.

Scrivlar3702d ago

Haha no way, thank god you told me this. Does it keep all your saved ones?

Shadowsteal3702d ago

What you can do is hit options then "select all" then you can unchecked the ones you want to save and continue with the deleting.

This is all in settings > system storage management > captures

pompombrum3702d ago (Edited 3702d ago )

Urggg, you still need to buy a play and charge kit? That's so cheap. You'd have thought the "one" entertainment experience wouldn't need batteries.
