‘Grand Theft Auto Online’ heists and other free DLC release dates discussed

Rockstar Games provided a new update regarding the addition of heist missions and other free DLC that were previously promised to arrive within the first few weeks of “Grand Theft Auto Online.”

GTA Online is completely designed towards cash microtransactions. That's why they try so hard to convince idiots that it is a 'completely different game', to avoid the s***storm coming from GTA 5's 'F2P' online component being centered on grinding and heavy progression walls.

I'm with @CrossingEden on this one. People are on one hating on GTA for no apparent reason. Expectations are out of the box unrealistic no wonder people still get disappointed by every game that drops...

I'm hoping he meant 'greedy' in the sense of trying to do too much. Not in the financial sense of the word. Maybe he was looking at it like they seemed like they may have stretched themselves a little too thin. Put the focus on the single player game and maybe some coop campaign.
Personally, I love GTA Online. I was just guessing as to what THC CELL was thinking.

The multiplayer is not free. You can only get GTA Online if you buy GTA5. You could only say it's free if the online was a separate component that everyone could get, but it's not. Is the online for Call of Duty free? Is the online in Halo free?

If GTA is designed for Micro Transactions i must be doing something wrong. I have no reason to buy any cash. I have more then enough money right now +250k they are giving i have 0 reason to use real money. I don't even play that much. I think the designed for Micro Transaction is nonsense. You do not need to ever bu money for this game with all the stuff they have available to you.

You have no idea what your talking about. I have 400k, but I wont sit here and say that GTAO isnt shaping into a microT build. They patched it to where you cant replay missions from the menu. Why even keep the replay button there if it cant be used? Then that wasnt enough. When players proved to be headstrong enough to call in every job, R* cuts MOST of the missions payout by 50%. Now some jobs actually leave you in the negative after buying armor and ammo. Jobs like Base Invader arent even worth the difficulty now. All in all GTAO is an online component thats filled with bugs and repetitive lackluster missions. R*'s first order of business should have been to fix those issues. They are trying to turn GTAO into a MMO, and most players I see on GFaqs and R* forums are not liking its direction.

I am level 36 i have a supped up Vette Suped up Porchase, Suped up Akuma and a suped up elergy.

I won all the guns i can full ammo i own a nice apartment and i have about 250k in bank account.

When i get the 250k ill either be saving it for the 795k car or grabbing a coil. I have nothing i need exatcly at this point in the game that is to expensive for me by the time i get up into the 50's and ill have enough with that 250k in pocket and 250k in stimulus to buy that 795k car before i hit 40 and im 36 right now.

I have done no boosting or whatever and i suck at races so i lose ALLLL THE TIME (Lol)

I think you need to better apply your time to the grind.

Base Invader is a 25k payout for the first time and 12500 every other time.

They patched the replay so people weren't taking advantage of the easy mission for high payouts. Those people would replay Base invaders 100x 25k pay out each time and be multi millionaires.

The top rank is at least 120 so in that time i will almost 100% with confidence say i will own every single thing i could ever want plus be sitting on huge amounts of money by then with nothing to buy.

Well if you ever played the still very popular SA-MP on PC you would know the multiplayer has tons of potential in a GTA game.

The only thing i don't like what R* has done is micro transactions, R* should know how to make a multiplayer at least as fun as SA-MP by now, especially since IV's kind of sucked. Surprising a mod team can do better than the developers of the game themselves.

but you see, R*Games had to work something out with the crappy old hardware at their disposal. I do think however with next gen hardware they'll be able to pull something as good as sa-mp.

The prices for things are ridiculous. Offroad vehicles are pointless. And I KNOW heists are going to be really stupid anyways. Its going to force you to pick a specific way to accomplish the heist instead of letting you and your friends just figure it out. So lame.

It can be but the online was advertised with the heists and UGC, neither of which are even in sight. Had I known they were absent from the online for an unforeseeable amount of time I would have skipped GTAV until they launched the heists.

I would rather wait and have all the other issues worked out completely. They are not going to release heists and then hear all the bitching when characters get deleted and money is missing from the account.

People paid money for a 100% complete SP 60hr campaign. That is more time and quality then 10x games from a some developers.

You got ONline MP as a perk. You can't tell me more then 1% (being generous) bought this for GTA online only having no idea what it was going to be like or anything.

I think it's great fun with friends when you get to the bigger jobs. It could be better but GTA online is a step towards to gta game with proper co op story so it's important that they did it..

I've been underwhelmed by gta online so far. I thought there was gonna be story and co-op missions in it but all ive mostly seen is deathmatch and racing. I've done some survival which is better so this new dlc can't come soon enough for me.

I was thinking about dlc for gta5 and wouldn't it be cool if they did a zombie dlc lol make all citizens in Los Santos zombies and if you get bit you can kill yourself or wait it out and turn and go after other online ppl

I sold mine when my character got deleted twice and had no word when the ifruit app would be out.

good game but very overrated I would rather play pong over that crappy excuse for a mini game again (tennis) but the story and open world were good but thats about it.....

nothing new just the same old gta just better graphics and a bigger map.... I enjoyed rdr and max payne 3 more!

I haven't sold it but it blows my mind how many people just go on there to sightsee... there will be a whole group of dudes in an apartment taking turns showering for 30 min... really? is this the sims now?
Then you get warnings for blowing up people's cars which by the way is great because you usually end up with a bounty on your head which is the most exciting part... I drove around for 30 min. the other night with a 10 000 bounty on my head, now that was fun!! Why the warnings for doing GTA behaviour? it costs like 300 bucks to claim insurance, who gives a crap.
