Sony Outplays the Competition at E3 2013

With two next generation systems launching later this year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo was the place for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo to prove why its console should be the player’s choice. All three companies showcased fantastic games, but it was the PlayStation 4 that came out of E3 the strongest by earning the consumer’s trust.

It didn't outplay Nintendo. Wii U still had more exclusives announced for it and you don't have to pay to play your games online.

It was the same for the PS Vita at E3 last year but hopefully they will make up for it (as they did last year) at Gamescom.

I don't think Sony outplayed Nintendo. Nintendo had the most confirmed exclusives for this year, cheapest price, and is the only next gen system that offers free online multiplayer and backward compatibility.

Yeah cause playing old ass games specifically Wii games, omg so sick, is very important. Titanfall on the Xbox One owned half of the games in the Nintendo lineup.

Nintendo had a predictable show, thank god for Platinum studios or else it would have looked so redundant with the same game being announced every generation for Nintendo platforms.

Titanfall looked boring as hell. It's just another shooter like 99% of the games at Sony and MS' conference.

I'm not that impressed with the graphics on the PS4 and Xbox One. Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Smash Bros U, and X looked fine to me, and I know I'll like those games more.

Sony and MS's show had very little exclusives, Knack looked horrible, Shadow Fall is just another shooter. Infamous Second Son looked ok, but it's just a 3rd person shooter.

Nintendo brought the oldschool games I like more, with some cool exclusives like Sonic, Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Pokemon, X, Bayonetta, The Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3. Not to mention Watch Dogs, Batman, and AC4 for multiplatform.

Nintendo won E3 because of the sheer amount of exclusive content. Sony and MS had very predictable shows with far less exclusive content. The Best games at Sony's conference was KH3 and FF 15....and those are multiplatform.

ps3 and ps4 exclusives push the gaming industry forward to progress while Nintendo pushes back gaming and cower to the same old safe bet kiddie franchises year after year.

I think you're in denial. Sony just makes a bunch of shooters and racing games.

How many 3D multiplayer platformers are on the market right now? Who's bringing Bayonetta 2 to gamers?

Nintendo is bringing out Pikmin 3 which hasn't had a sequel in about 10 years.

The WOnderful 101 which is a brand new IP

Donkey Kong Country which has had two games in 4 years.

The Legend of Zelda which hasn't had a game in the franchise since 2011.

Bayonetta 2, X, Super Smash Bros U, There is tons of content for adults and kids alike.

I'm 26 years old, and I think you need to grow up. I play games for fun, not to shoot people in the face and pretend I'm mature for doing so.
