Publisher Crave has responded to claims made earlier in the week by an Indiana mother that her daughter's copy of Baby Pals contains a pro-Islamic audio message.
WTNH in Indiana posts the very strange story of mother who took a doll and a Nintendo game away from her daughters after discovering what she says were hidden messages in the toys proclaiming "Islam is the light."
Rachel Jones says the message first popped up in a doll she'd bought her 4-year-old and resurfaced later in a copy of Nintendo's Baby Pals for the DS, which she'd purchased for her 8-year-old as a reward for good grades.
They called it a toy, lol!
Judging by her comments, this lady seems like a racist, klan member?
Secondly, easter egg????
I turned on my PS3 the other day and during bootup I swear it said "Aaron Greenberg wears frilly pink panties".
Baby Pals is tricky to score because it's aimed at such a select audience. It's not so much your typical game and more a virtual pet you pick up for a few minutes a day, albeit one featuring a very realistic baby. But undoubtedly, in delivering a realistic baby simulation with plenty of variety as well as something that even a very young child could have fun with, it fulfils everything its maker has probably set out to achieve.

Portable Video Gamer weighs in on some of the weirdest games currently available for the Nintendo DS. How do you develop a spelling bee game without digitized voices? When did "having your very own pony" become the context for an entire video game? The answer to these questions and more inside.
There are loads more ridiculous games on the DS. Check out this thread on Neogaf:

I tell you, the more games there are for a system and the more successful it becomes, the weirder some games get :)
Do I dare say anything here? I just opened my mouth on that Islamic RTS news, and got my comment deleted as well as lost a bubble o.O
People take religion too seriously.
Don't you know? Haven't you heard? Islam IS the light.
Infidels.
I wonder if she'd have complained if the game said "Christ is the saviour".
No comment. I can't get into a religious debate on the Internet. Just cause flame wars and no-one thinks about anything that is said.
It's a very tricky subject to bring up anywhere. Too many emotions ties in with it.
