I love monster hunter. I played on the psp and also played online on the ps2. I was even there when Capcom shut the servers down. Back when the ps3 was just a rumor I always hoped I'd get nex gen versions of Socom, Killzone, Monster Hunter, and Battlefield.
Well i got a half assed version of Socom, Very nice Killzone sequels, awesome battlefields, and NO MONSTER HUNTER.

Many people will try and disagree with a majority of what you just said, but only a fool would disagree with them not investing in 1st parties.
Instead they invest large amounts in timed exclusives, rediculous kinect advertising, and "timed exclusive dlc" (like really wtf?? Do people really buy a console for dlc??)

I like new IP's, and a variety of them to choose from. Not rehashes of the same couple of franchises.
So I will save my money for the next playstation.

I'm looking forward to seeing Sony mature a bit nex gen in certain areas, specifically with the online network. PSN on the ps3 came a LONG way, but you can tell there is certain things they want/wanted to do but couldn't for whatever reason.

don't disrespect SOCOM. socom is on a flatline right now because the developers keep thinking if they ignore what the smaller core fanbase asks for, and try to appeal to the larger CoD crowd, they'll have better results. and it hasn't worked at all.

I wonder how it must feel to be a game developer thats spent years of their life trying to make a great game, and you log online and just see people bashing it.It must be an awful feeling. Especially when they more than likely have checked out Call of Duty just to see what their competition is doing, and clearly see they aren't doing anything special...
